I would like to know what you all will do if Bush wins? I don't know if I can handle another 4 years. Any ideas of how to reclaim our country and restore democracy and freedom? I'm worried that another 4 years will increase the authoritariansm and absolute power that Bush has come to claim and further trample on our constitution and individual liberties. I'm truly frightened.

I believe it is a VERY nice touch to this board, to greet and welcome each and every "newbie" individually!

You know, you can just skip past the "distractions" if they bother you that much.

Hey give her a break!! I think it is actually nice that she pays attention to the newbies, and it also gives the rest of us a chance to see the new people. At other times it is a great break from the posts. :-) just my opinion!

If President Bush wins again? We will have four more years of FOCUSED leadership. Four more years of values. Four more years of a President that means what he says and says what he means. Four more years of moderate social programs. Four more years of the economy growing the fastest rate it has in the last 20 years! Four more years of fighting the terrisom that we have ignored for the last 15 years. If President wins again we ALL will be just fine!

I know I have been just fine. I have rich people in my family, poor people, and Military people. They are all supporting President Bush and the war on terrorism. And so am I.

Amen to you, dpingl!!!

Dear Steph:

Reading your post, it becomes so clear that the media is right when they assert that we are living in two completely different America's at this point in our nations history. You paint such a rosy wonderful picture, and yet for far too many middle and lower class Americans, the image you paint is far from their real life reality.

1. I am 49, and hearing Greenspan announcing for the whole world to hear that the Social Security benefits I and my wife have built up over some 30 plus years might not be there is a serious WAKE UP CALL. Just how much more real is this potential reality in light of the Bush administrations record Federal Deficits?

2. The latest Census Bureau Reports and statistics point out that another 1.2 million people joined the ranks of those considered to live at or below the poverty line here in America, 800,000 of those children. I live a relatively comfortable life, but as a human being, I cannot simply ignore this very real reality in our nation.

3. Another 1.5 million people in the last year lost their medical coverage, bringing the number in Bush's term up over 5 million, with the grand total now well above 40 million Americans without medical coverage. Sorry, I find this very alarming, as the reality is, that all those families without medical coverage are now in a situation of being just one illness away from financial ruin in a time when personal bankrupcy is already at and all time high.

4. Bush has created a NEGATIVE 1.2 million jobs in his term as president, the worst in over 60 years...can that really be called an economic recovery?

Consider yourself fortunate to be one of the priviledged few who are benefitting from Bush's time in office, but you are the exception rather than the rule.

Thus Kerry by law has to support the laws of the land, ie. a woman's right to choose.

Go to www.abortionfacts.com. No one has the right to take the life of another. How abortion doesn't count as murder boogles me. It's not the womens body that is being poisioned, ripped apart, sucked out and dumped into a trash can. What is the difference between giving birth and dumping the infant into a trash can and having an abortion? Nothing! How can you support that?????? That makes me sick!
