What will you do if Bush wins?

I would like to know what you all will do if Bush wins? I don't know if I can handle another 4 years. Any ideas of how to reclaim our country and restore democracy and freedom? I'm worried that another 4 years will increase the authoritariansm and absolute power that Bush has come to claim and further trample on our constitution and individual liberties. I'm truly frightened.

I don't lack courage, I lack the desire to have a lot of lunatics e-mailing me with their rantings and ravings because they disagree with my opinion. I though you all believed in CHOICE-why do you have such a problem with my choice not to accept e-mails? But if you must know, I used to accept e-mails but was so harrassed by someone over a child-rearing issue, of all things, that I chose to no longer accept them. None of your business, but it has nothing to do with courage, just a desire to avoid nuisance e-mails. If you have something to say to me why are you afraid to say it publicly? Perhaps it is you who lacks courage.

< uhhhh....did I miss something when I signed up for an account? Do not recall anywhere seeing that one had to accept emails to participate on the boards.>

Nah, only the brave have to.. ;)

If you have something to say to me, i can't imagine why you wouldn't want to share it with the rest of the class...seems to me you don't want everyone eslegetting the full picture of your views, but then that's only conjecture.

I stand behind everything I say, and if you'd like to question my open-mindedness or how informed I am, in the words of your candidate I say, bring it on...just not sure why you feel the need to do it out of range of the other participants in the discussion.

I see your point and stand corrected. Every one is entitled to their privacy.

A very real and justified fear you have. If you go to the Stars and Stripes site on the net, you can see some very disturbing articles on the fact that ALL branches of our armed forces are facing the very real situation that they cannot meet their enlistment quotas. In fact, things are so bad that you now have the services trying to steal the other services re-enlisters to meet their own quotas...Army is currently offering bonus to military staff from other services if they re-enlist Army instead.

Though being kept hush hush in light of the election year, reinstituting the draft is being serious debated at the highest levels of the Pentagon these days.

Actually, one could accuse Reagan of flip flopping on the pro-choice/pro-life issue. As the Governor of California in a liberal state he stated he was Pro-Choice, but when he opted to take a run at being President he changed horses in mid-stream. Now, we could argue that he had a true epithany, or that he did what was politically necessary to shore up his core support base.

I've read articles from scientists on both sides and ones who do not agree with the ones you believe. Just because others do not agree with your POV does not make them ignorant. Your scientists could very well be spewing "junk science" for all you know. :D

You know what they say about making assumptions...

If tax cuts mean more jobs, where are all those jobs Bush's tax cuts were supposed to have created?
