I would like to know what you all will do if Bush wins? I don't know if I can handle another 4 years. Any ideas of how to reclaim our country and restore democracy and freedom? I'm worried that another 4 years will increase the authoritariansm and absolute power that Bush has come to claim and further trample on our constitution and individual liberties. I'm truly frightened.

Don't you know the leftist mantra? EVERYTHING is Bush's fault. Like, get with the program, man!

It's good that you do your homework when you donate to charities, the majority of people probably don't. The fact is that many charities are no better than the government.

I know the defenition of communism. I never said to spread it around equally. The gap between the rich and the poor has only widened under Bush, in my opinion this is going in the wrong direction. The unemployment rates are too high, the demand for workers is low because there are not enough jobs. There's nothing wrong with making money, but even those who have an education are having a hard time finding jobs. I think these things are unacceptable and need to be changed. The only way to fix this is to elect a new president who can fix these things.

Okay, for the second time, I did post what I had to say. The time lag was because the cat yaked up a roach on the sofa and I felt that I should clean it up and THEN come back to the board. My problem was not with your idea on the candidates, it was with what I felt was an unfair attitude on helping people. Now that said, you mentioned that your issue was not with people who could not, but with people who would not help themselves. So you have told me what you think.

Yes, that's true, but I thought we were discussing the wearing of his religious beliefs and values on his sleeve during his presidency. I don't think he made any secret of the fact that he was staunchly pro-life during his presidency, whatever his views were years earlier.

NO, I tried to e-mail a copy of what I put on the board. I didn't see any other posts and assumed (yessssss, I know, assume,) you were gone for the night. I am under the impression that these boards are cleaned every few hours or every morning so new subjects can be posted. Yes, I'm new at this. Don't they clear them every day?

We've been over this ad nauseum but I'll go through it again if you like. The economy was already in a downslide when Bush took office, thanks to the burst of the hi-tech dot.com bubble. Then we had 9/11 and a rash of corporate accounting scandals that had all been brewing since well before Bush was in office. Despite all that, rather than sliding deeper into the recession and even a depression as logic would dictate, the Bush economic stimulus package has created some of the fastest economic growth in our history, with job growth recently following. Last month of course, we had a stall in job growth but Alan greenspan and many economists have widely stated that was a blip that should be ironed out. Bottom line the economy is growing, jobs are growing, the unemployment rate is at its lowest point since Bush took office, home sales are strong, home ownership is up, sheesh what more do you think could be accomplished with all of the challenges this president has faced?

Now I know you're going to quote me a bunch of statistics that sound terrible but they all exclude the year 2004, so if you have any current negative economic indicators I'd be happy to look at them.Yes,I know there is a net job loss of 1,000,000 jobs, that loss was 3,000,000 jobs a few months back so my guess is the 1,000,000 will be made up in very short order as the other 2,000,000 recently have been.
