I would like to know what you all will do if Bush wins? I don't know if I can handle another 4 years. Any ideas of how to reclaim our country and restore democracy and freedom? I'm worried that another 4 years will increase the authoritariansm and absolute power that Bush has come to claim and further trample on our constitution and individual liberties. I'm truly frightened.

Sounds more like the description of environmental whack-jobs and their computer simulations based on faulty assumptions.

I prefer to read about science based on factual data.

217-Year Swedish Air Temperature History Derived from Yearly Growth Increments of Freshwater Pearl Mussels

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

What was done

The authors utilized 60 specimens of freshwater pearl mussels that had been collected alive between AD 1853 and 1930 (stored in museums) and between AD 1986 and 1997 from six rivers in northern, central and southern Sweden to reconstruct a 217-year history of summer (June-August) air temperature for the country, which they compared with the Scots pine tree-ring-derived summer air temperature reconstruction of Briffa et al. (1990).

What was learned

Schone et al. report that "both series do not reveal any significant long-term temperature trends," but they say that "the number of cold summers was higher prior to about AD 1900 as compared to the last 90 years." Also, their data reveal that the peak temperatures of the late 1980s and early 1990s were no higher than those of the 1930s and 40s, while the coldest summer of the entire record (by far!) occurred on the last full year of the series.

What it means

Clearly, these temperature reconstructions reveal absolutely nothing that is unusual about either the entire 20th century or its last two decades, which are routinely described by climate alarmists as having experienced unprecedented warming over the last thousand years and perhaps even the past two millennia. If such occurred anywhere, it wasn't in Sweden.

I am voting for Bush. Personally, I think he has done our country a world of good. I would hate to think of what would happen if John Kerry were elected. He was a joke of a soldier. He wounded himself and still managed to get a medal?? COME ON! Besides that he came back putting down our American Soldiers. I completely support my current president, and I am glad we went to war. That demon, Saddam Hussein is now in jail where he belongs.

Nisa... I just wanted to add one more thing. If you are so unhappy here in America and enjoy the media in Europe and Canada so much... maybe you should move to either Canada or somewhere in Europe.

I would actually love to have a one on one conversation with either man, as they are different in both their mannerisms and their beliefs, which makes then unique.

In speaking with them on a one on one level, I bet that people would get a better understanding of what each man truly believes and stands for, as when they are on the national circuit, they are playing to the larger audience.

I know when I get out of college in another 2-3 yrs I want a job if my main plan doesn't work out. Teachers here are leaving schools and going to Georgia because they get more pay(I'm in Tennessee). Bush is putting us back with women rights. All the hard work women in the past have done for us to have our rights (from jobs to abortion) is going backwards. :( XOXO.
