What will you do if Bush wins?
| Fri, 08-20-2004 - 12:02pm |
I would like to know what you all will do if Bush wins? I don't know if I can handle another 4 years. Any ideas of how to reclaim our country and restore democracy and freedom? I'm worried that another 4 years will increase the authoritariansm and absolute power that Bush has come to claim and further trample on our constitution and individual liberties. I'm truly frightened.

1. Just as I suspected, checked my email, and sure enough, a WARNING from iVillage staff because a Republican here on this boards wants to silence myself, and others like me. I read my post, and compared it to some of the attacks targeted at me in the last 48 hours and am shocked that I would be called on the carpet, but it does not surprise me.
2. Republican Party Position Paper for the Convention...Litmus Test for all judges, they must oppose A) stem cell research, B) abortion and C) equal rights for gay and lesbians.
As I said, the Repukes are not my cup of tea, and if you think that makes me close minded, happy to be so.
There you go again. Weren't you asked to cool it for 24 hours?
I stated a opinion on a persons post, I did NOT ATTACK THEM....shaking head. As for me personally being asked to cool it for 24 hours, WE ALL WERE ASKED TO COOL it, and in consider of some of the outlandish personal insults you were hurtling on this board in the last 24 hours, find it rather amusing to see you attempting to correct me here.
It really angers me when people give some BS about how tax cuts help economy, when I know so many of my friends are still laid off who were in good engineering jobs. There may be jobs at 7/11 and Taco bell but there aren't any good paying jobs after so many tax cuts. Companies are still anouncing layoffs where I live (Telecom corridor, Richardson TX). The jobs are contract jobs which do not pay any health care or other benefits and are still low in pay. Who cares for $500 tax break when your salary is cut by $20,000. It is ridiculous. If only Nov was tommorrow....
