What will you do if Bush wins?

I would like to know what you all will do if Bush wins? I don't know if I can handle another 4 years. Any ideas of how to reclaim our country and restore democracy and freedom? I'm worried that another 4 years will increase the authoritariansm and absolute power that Bush has come to claim and further trample on our constitution and individual liberties. I'm truly frightened.

Haliburton has found Iraq to be less profitable than other venues.

Don't be so quick to lump all Christians together. It appears the "conservative Christians" feel they are the only Christians - possibly because they talk louder and buy more bumper stickers.

I don't believe God's will is so clearly known that we can paste slogans on our car and feel we no longer have to think about it.

What about the war in Iraq, a war that we now know was a mistake, I would hope a Christian president would be concerned but he doesn't seem to be. In March Pres. Bush called the leader of North Korea a "pygmy" and basically challenged him - in return the Koreans called Bush the "Emperor of the World" and Rumsfeld a "Psychopath" - the end result is the N. Koreans now insist Bush is out to conquer the world and they will hold on to their weapons...Bush and diplomacy seem to be strangers, he's ready for another Korean war.

Last night on CNN one of his Military leaders, I'm assuming he's following Bush's orders, said we'd have to go after Iran next, because they seem to have more ties to terrorism than Iraq. When the reporter asked if we could do this because we're stretched thin with Iraq, Bush's general stated we could and would. So we now have war with Iraq, and upcoming wars with N.Korea and Iran. Our "Christian" president is not willing to speak (& seems unable to do so) or listen but he is willing to bomb and allow our military and innocent people from other nations be killed.

Quoting from "Everything Belongs": Group-think is a substitute for God-think. The belief is that God is found only by our group. The next step is to establish that identification with our group as the only way to serve God.

When (the group) becomes an end in itself, it's called idolatry. In idolatry the religious concern becomes "Who is doing it my way" and Who is saying it my way?" The ones who say it my way are good; the others are bad. Jesus faced this same issue with his Jewish compatriots and told them, "Produce the appropiate fruits instead of telling yourselves, "We have Abraham for our father" (Luke 3:8)

It seems some Christians worship Bush, it's so much simpler than trying to do the right thing themselves. You have no idea if Bush or Kerry is following God's will more closely. Just because it's easier to pick Bush and stay with him, regardless of what he says or does, doesn't mean it's right.

It takes a little more energy, a little more contemplation and a little more prayer to think for yourself - to stopping talking so much so you can hear what God is trying to tell you and to pray for God's will, not G. Bush's.

Sorry for being so long, but I am really tired of people who yell about their Christianity, and carry that label as a banner of their own self-righteousness. You have no right to judge what is anyone's heart.

How much do clues run these days? I haven't bought one since the one that turned me from a liberal to a conservative. Although this middle class lady can afford more for one since I bring home more money now because of Bush's tax cut.

No, but depletion of ozone layer which protects the earth from sun is due to manmade pollutants.

LEss profitable means he will still make some profit and that would be in millions if not billions of dollars.

You know, some people speak of global warming as if it were the only environmental concern. I wish it were. Why do some people always take it to golbal warming and then act as if they have addressed the issue. A lot of people seem to think that environmental issues are not a real concern, all fabricated. They'll realise it one day, or rather thier grandkids will.

This is my favorite ridiculous argument from the right. Hey, I need water to live, but I can still drown in it.

Bush is defending our country against attackers and potential attackers. It is not Bush killing innocent civilians in Iraq, it is terrorists attempting to destroy the creation of a free society-I don't think Jesus would have been in favor of blowing up innocent civilians in hopes of imposing an Islamic fundamentalist regime on anyone-Jesus believed in free will.

Once again, Bush has taken NOTHING from any poor people. That's liberal class warfare rhetoric-Bush cut taxes for every person who pays taxes. The rich in this country pay the lion's share of federal income taxes. Raising taxes on ANYONE slows economic growth, discourages investment and consumption and results in job losses. How that helps the poor I really don't understand. Ever heard of "The Lord helps those who help themselves?" I don't think Jesus was for taking things away from hard working people and giving them to those who refuse to take care of their own responsibilities.
