I would like to know what you all will do if Bush wins? I don't know if I can handle another 4 years. Any ideas of how to reclaim our country and restore democracy and freedom? I'm worried that another 4 years will increase the authoritariansm and absolute power that Bush has come to claim and further trample on our constitution and individual liberties. I'm truly frightened.

Please learn more about the men, on your own, read about them, know who you are voting for. Look at the posts here telling you the truth about what has happened since Bush has been president. It is truly very frightening. Getting religion mixed up with politics ends up killing and torturing lots of people and ruining lots of lives. Look at history. It is there to see and it is happening again.

There are forms of birth control that keep you from ovulating so that you don't have to worry about concieving at all.

***Kara, there are some really effective forms of birth control these days. Why don't you look into that? Then you won't have to worry about having to have an abortion. There are forms of birth control that keep you from ovulating so that you don't have to worry about concieving at all. And your insurance may even pay for it! You can also find clinics that will give it to you free!

Yes. I already realize that birth control is very effective. I currently am on it. That doesn't have anything to do with whether or not women should be allowed to have a choice to have an abortion though. A woman who takes birth control should be allowed to have an abortion, and a woman who doesn't take birth control should be allowed to have an abortion. That doesn't (of course) mean that these women should or has to have an abortion, my point, is women should be allowed the choice.

I'm far more willing to have Bush re-elected than Kerry to be elected. Kerry could lead us down far worse paths than Bush may have done.

Better worry about the ACLU and their actions of trampling on our constitutional and individual liberties; or rather perverting them.

What individual liberties have been taken from you?

Re-elect Bush and save us from the Demon-crats!

***I'm with you about the whole abortion thing. I am pro-life, but it's just having the choice that is with me. If the mother and/or the baby would have serious problems during the pregnancy, etc. the mother should be allowed to make the choice. On Kerry's website they have a video up of when Mrs. Heinz Kerry was on 20/20 with Walters and she talks about how one time she almost had to make that choice and she was glad she at least had it there so she could still have her life. If a mother who already has young kids has a baby but there was serious problems and the mother could die if she kept going on with her life for her baby she could choose to either abort the baby and try again and stay with her family or choose to save the baby and end her life. I know that'd be a tough thing but just knowing you have the choice is what I'm for. Women have worked hard to have their rights and Bush is trying to play God and take these freedoms away. I'd rather have a clinic to go to and it be healthy and in a safe place instead of a mother doing it illegal and ending up going to jail or something like that or something else happening. XOXO.

I will look at that video clip tomorrow, when I am more awake. This is the kind of discussion I like, I am pro-choice, your pro-life, but we are keeping it respectful. I think this is were the most can be learned as far as understanding beliefs of other people. If you just fight about things, I question whether you learn much. Instead, you may end up not listening to the other person at all.

Does anyone know of a site that has good information about presidential canidates views on abortion? I have looked around, and haven't found much at all.

Thanks-

Kara
