Everyone I know (Republican, Democrat & Independent) thinks that the anti-Kerry smear campaign on his Vietnam War record began at the White House. Not a person, I know, believes the administration denials.

Does that matter? I think it does!

Your bias won't allow you to even suggest that those 7 minutes could possibly been no big deal. It's an strawman arguement.

I would have been stunned to see any of our leaders sitting there in a classroom while being our country ws being attacked .

I guess he was there as Genghis Khan then??

He looked like John Kerry, and sounded like John Kerry, and even referenced his own experiences in Vietnam, so to me he was John Kerry. If he didn't want to be there as John Kerry, then he shouldn't have been there at all.

Well then perhaps if he didn't want to deal with any backlash, then he should have kept his mouth shut.

Kerry may be able to challenge the other veterans with regards to his actions during his service in Vietnam, but he cannto challenge them over his actions when he returned home.

This is the driving force behind the veterans against John Kerry in my opinion.

Even Sen. McCain said that taking Kerry to task for his actions after the war was something that he did not have a problem with.

Read again. I said "could be done at that moment".

Still not answering questions and just one comment on what you misread?

The point is there were not many moments to decide what to do. 7 Minutes during an attack is a very LOOOONG time!

Whatever he did in the 7 minutes after he left the classroom could have been done 7 minutes sooner. Unless he didn't do any decisionmaking that day, that's the only way sitting for 7 minutes & doing nothing didn't matter.

So which is it?

Did his leadership make any difference? If yes, then the sooner the better.

If no, then you have to admit he is a figurehead.
