This has never happened before in our history and I don't like the idea one bit.

I am equally sickened by the whole deal too. The U.N. request by those democrats was embarassing and cowardly. But this is bad too. I question the countries involved in this group and whether they will have MY best interests at heart.

The democrats have already set the stage for the recounts in November. They have put out doubt about the election process and accused the republicans of tampering with the election process even now! There will be a legal nightmare come Nov. Anywhere Bush wins that they think *SHOULD* have gone to Kerry...

The mess in 2000 was bad enough, now they are going to exploit it to confuse voters and try to sway the elections themselves.

I see this overseeing U.S. elections as absurd as Libya heading the U.N. Human Rights committee.

The UN cannot keep their own house in order, and now are being asked to observe our elections to give them some sort of validity. We never had this problem before, not even in 2000.
