Kerry & the draft an interesting story..

The Harvard Crimson newspaper followed a youthful Mr Kerry in Boston as he campaigned for Congress for the first time in 1970. In the course of a lengthy article, "John Kerry: A Navy Dove Runs for Congress", published on February 18, the paper reported: "When he approached his draft board for permission to study for a year in Paris, the draft board refused and Kerry decided to enlist in the Navy."
Samuel Goldhaber, the article's author who is now a cardiologist attached to the Harvard School of Medicine, spent 11 hours trailing Mr Kerry and still remembers that the subject of the Paris deferment came up during long conversations about Vietnam.
"I stand by my story," he told The Telegraph. "It was a long time ago, and I was 19 at the time, so it is hard to remember every detail. But I do know this: at no point did Kerry contact either me or the Crimson to dispute anything I had written."

He lied about being in Cambodia, as he, nor anyone else can produce on piece of evidence to support this story, and Kerry has changed his story on this one.
He was not totally honest about his first purple heart, as even his campaign is backing off Kerry's original version, and said that it was a result of friendly fire.
He has changed his story about keeping his PCF at the scene after pulling Rassman from the water, to provide cover for the other boats. He now says that he left the scene after pulling Rassman from the water.
-- As for being a war criminal, Kerry said he did as he was told & found out later free fire zones were against the Geneva conventions.
Since Kerry was being sent to Vietnam, he took the same course outlining the Geneve Conventions and the Hague articles BEFORE being shipped to Vietnam. He was also given a notecard for him to carry, outlining the major articles, and free fire zones were covered in this. He has backed off this claim a little as well, since so many other veterans have come forward to challenge him on this.
Also, military regulations state that since Kerry was an officer, if he personaly witnessed any attrocities, it was his duty to report these up the chain of command. Failure to do so would result in courtmartial proceedings being brought against that officer.
I don't question that he voluntered / enlisted, as he did serve a year aboard the USS Gridley, and 4 months in country aboard the Swift boat. I also don't question that he pulled Rassman from the water. I question why he is changing so many of his stories when they seem to come under scrutiny? I also question why he is trying to silence a veterans group who are not happy with his actions after Vietnam. Don't they have a right to voice their objections and opinions as well?
Yes, quite sure.

Where is the box that he checked that said that he would go to Vietnam?
I thought he did that?

That's another big fat Kerry lie. All soldiers where armed with a booklet of the Geneva conventions before they even left American soil.
OH!
