Just a question. How was that insulting to anyone? It was a general statement of opinion about Republicans. I have the same opinion. It is not directed at any individual.

Investigations by both our country and yours have proved that neither Bush nor Blair was lying, so IMO there is nothing to forgive.

Which investigation are you referring to? Every investigation I have read, including the most in depth one around, the 911 Commission Report states flat out that there were no WMDs period! None left after the Gulf War, and no Iraqi involvement at all with the attacks against our country. We were all lied to, including Tony Blair.

Donna....lets not forget either....the UN merely wanted us to give them a little bit more time to continue and finish their inspections as well, but the fact was, that Bush's little bag of lies was already starting to unravel, and he knew it was a NOW OR NEVER time for him to fight his war.

Yes, he had planned to go into Iraq long before 911, it was on the table when he first took office, from what I have read from those who were there.

Donna & IV Mystic, you both seem quite open-minded and interested in the world outside of your own country (kudos) - you may find a book called Blair's Wars quite interesting. Obviously it deals with the situation from the UK perspective, but it may shine a little light on a new angle that you both seem interested in.
