Was with a bit of amusement that I saw the Republicans in here has a thread that we are supposed to stay out of (see Republican Treehouse)....guess they feel a need to have secret meetings, and might even have a secret handshake to get through the door, so thought those of us on the side of reason and intellect should have our own little hide-away as it were. So, kick your shoes off, pour yourself a drink and lets discuss the issues.

Don't worry about it...just ignore them. Up until you posted that article I thought I was pretty much alone in thinking this.

Hi there,

I have to compliment you on the way you laid out all the shortcomings of this president's disgraceful term in office. However I must also take you to task on this:

<>

First of all, I heard no whining but a very important point. If Kerry doesn't get his act together soon he will lose to George Bush. It's as simple as that. One critisism we have is that Bush supporters are blind to his shortcomings. Let's not make the same mistake and overlook Kerry's. American's must STOP this tendency they have of trying to turn people into heros and not acknowleging that EVERYONE has shortcomings. It is how one admits to them and rises above them that makes a person admirable

I think discussing what Kerry must do to overcome this nasty but extremely well funded Republican machine is totally relevant at this point in time.

I went to Kerry's site and watched the video's of his speeches and stuff and do like his ideas. I see that he's trying to solve war conflicts and problems by finding another way besides just shooting each other. I think because he was in the war he saw all it can do to people both emotionally and physically and he wants to try to stop that from happening from future generations. I hope that he does win so he can at least try out his idea. I don't see why people believe that they have to go to war and fight people and kill people to prove how American they are and why they can't just talk it out. I'm definietly an anti-war person and admire him for trying to change things. XOXO.

Welcome to the board. You will find a lot of "mean" folks around here. If you're going to try and take them on I'd advise you to put on a flame retardant suit and develop a thick skin. Good luck.

I like how Kerry is straight on path with his speeches and I've noticed sometimes Bush kinda stumbles around and says "uh" a lot. Heh. Reminds me of an old middle school principle who would do announcments and he'd say "uh" a lot and everybody in class would count how many times he'd say the word in the morning announcments which usually last around fifteen min's or so. It usually would add up around fifty "uh's." Heh heh. XOXO.

Welcome to the board and to politics!!!! Yeah I am a 100% Kerry supporter, but not necessarily 100% democrat. I typically do vote dem, but there are a few times in local elections I do vote republican. I vote on the issues, and not a party.

One thing I have learned from being here is this: Don't take what someone says to personally. It is a computer conversation and not a physical friendship. I have seen people come and go from here, most of them just say things to get people all riled up. hahaha in fact there are times I myself have said something to get people's blood boiling.

But the most truthful thing I can say is that Bush has to go, not in 4 more years, but THIS year!!! It is also great to see the younger people becoming more involved.

Thanks. I've been on the other board "what if bush wins" and have definietly learned that. I can be a hard-a$$ myself so once I've gotten my mind made up no turning back. Heh. I've been through a lot in my life and have learned to get my "skin" tough. XOXO.
