Was with a bit of amusement that I saw the Republicans in here has a thread that we are supposed to stay out of (see Republican Treehouse)....guess they feel a need to have secret meetings, and might even have a secret handshake to get through the door, so thought those of us on the side of reason and intellect should have our own little hide-away as it were. So, kick your shoes off, pour yourself a drink and lets discuss the issues.

Hi Nat:

Don't let the fact that some cannot seem to respect certain boundaries upset you...you are right in your ascertion that this thread is supposed to be a place where those of us that support the Democratic views or Presidential candidate can let our hair down as it were and discuss issues without having to constantly defending ourselves against a rabid right wing group of religious zealots and idol worshippers.

I do pray that happens. That's why this yr I'm definietly voting. Last time I didn't vote even though I was for Gore. Sometimes now days I like to wonder how things would be if I did vote, so that's why this yr I'm reading all I can and going out there to make a difference. :) So I pray and hope that Kerry does win. I like his ideas. XOXO.

I'm well aware of that. This is still why I have hope and love Americans.

I've heard that about Kerry too and am hoping the same thing...getting a little worried here....but still hoping.

Maybe he's keeping his big guns under his hat for the debates (please please please). If he made his arguments now it would give Bush's handlers a chance to come back with a counter argument...do some research and find some malcontents willing to come out and exagarrate the truth or downright lie, and dig up more dirt to fling.

Welcome, and nice to have you aboard...now, try to go out and get ten of your friends to vote for Kerry as well, then see if each of them can get ten more and so forth and so on, and maybe we can win Tenn.

Feel free to ask any questions you want, and enjoy this thread....hopefully we can pretty well keep it as it was intended, as a space where Democrats can congregate discuss the election and not be attacked at every turn in the road.

Yeah...his Dad pulled some strings and got him into his old alma mater...he spent a lot of his time drinking and partying and got very poor marks, barely passing...one wonders if he even earned those marks.

Hey...if people can question Kerry's medals, I can question Bush's marks can't I?

You are completely right....personally, after watching several clips from his stump talks, I would like to see him find a way not to talk over the voters heads. He means well, but he gets so into the intricate details of what he sees that you can watch him lose his audience at times.

The "eh" thing is a bit of a Canadian stereotype. It seems to be more regional and many people do not say that often....though it's fun to play on the stereotype sometimes (if it's all in good fun).
