Was with a bit of amusement that I saw the Republicans in here has a thread that we are supposed to stay out of (see Republican Treehouse)....guess they feel a need to have secret meetings, and might even have a secret handshake to get through the door, so thought those of us on the side of reason and intellect should have our own little hide-away as it were. So, kick your shoes off, pour yourself a drink and lets discuss the issues.

Shrewd is a very good word for him. It's dangerous to underestimate him that's for sure. His whole administration is like that, crooked and shrewd...and totally creepy.

(Well except for Colin Powell...we don't hear a lot from him. I guess he's on the outs with the "in" crowd. He has too much of a consnscence....I wonder if he will be around if Bush gets in again....if not I hope he writes another book...now THAT would be interesting)

Hello Again:

As I understand it, on going to college, though his father had to step in and pull some serious strings, his son was accepted to Yale despite less than sterling SAT scores, and did graduate in the middle of the pack as it were with your basic C average. Further, as I understand it, all of his stumps on the campaign are first and foremost scripped, and also the crowds are controlled...he holds them in locations where who gets in is very controlled, so that he can create an illussion of a lot more unity than truly exists.

His track record gives me hope...almost as if the true fighting Kerry does not come out till the chips are down and the race is on the line. So much rides on those debates for both parties standard bearers, and am really hoping we see Kerry hit a few questions right out of the park in them.

Some very interesting demographics, and the fact many of the older ex-military voting for Bush dissappoints me, but shows me that old wounds from the days of Vietnam die hard.

It's all right,I love a good debate, and learned a long time ago that sometimes the best way to defeat your opponent is to get them to lose their composure...I've worked at trying to refine doing that down to a fine art.

Only guessing here, but will not be surprised if Powell opts out if Bush gets re-elected. I could even see him opting to switch parties a possibility.

I agree. Everybody who's Rep has been making a big deal out of the whole thing with Kerry and war and nobody talks about Bush's past mistakes with grades. XOXO.

I would think if he had any future thoughts of going to run for President and being President (like now) that he would want to take his studies seriously and work harder at getting better grades then just C's. I know if my Dad pulled strings to get me in I would at least work hard to make up for him pulling the strings when I knew that he had to do something for me and I didn't earn it. I'd want to prove myself to people. Plus college is a lot of money especially at a school like Yale or Harvard or any law school. Didn't he go to Yale and Kerry too? XOXO.
