First, that secular despot Saddam has been removed from power. The chances that the Shiite Mullahs, with my help, can now establish a true Islamic State in Iraq have greatly improved.
Second, our recruitment problems are over. Would-be martyrs abound.
Third, he has provided them with ample targets on the ground in an Arab country.
Fourth, he has made it clear to the 1.5 billion Muslims that America is the number one enemy of Islam. Even in infidel countries, many consider him to be the world's greatest threat to peace. Finally, he has led America into a color-coded frenzy of fear wondering what we will do next. How gratifying!
These have been goals of Al Qaeda and they could not have been accomplished without him. Granted, he has upset our training program and has made it more difficult for us to transfer funds to our operatives, but on balance he has been a great boon to our cause. God willing (his and mine), he will be with us for four more years.
