ALL BUSH SUPPORTERS READ THIS

I blagged this from a War On Terror Ivillage board:

'In his memoirs, "A World Transformed," written five years ago, George Bush Sr. wrote the following to explain why he didn't go after Saddam Hussein at the end of the Gulf War.

"Trying to eliminate Saddam...would have incurred incalculable human

and political costs. Apprehending him was probably impossible.... We

would have been forced to occupy Baghdad and, in effect, rule Iraq....

There was no viable "exit strategy" we could see, violating another of

our principles. Furthermore, we had been consciously trying to set a

pattern for handling aggression in the post-Cold War world. Going in

and occupying Iraq, thus unilaterally exceeding the United Nations'

mandate, would have destroyed the precedent of international response

to aggression that we hoped to establish. Had we gone the invasion

route, the United States could conceivably still be an occupying power

in a bitterly hostile land."

If only his son could read.'

I would rather listen to the intelligence and clear thinking of Mystic than you or your kind any day or minute of the week.

As you continue to put words in my mouth that I have not said I will not bother to try to have a rational discussion you. It is impossible.

The electorial college votes as you must know do have something to do with popular vote in that the votes for instance that would have been counted in Florida if allowed to be counted would have given that state's electoral votes to Gore. Everyone knows that this president never was elected by either means, he was basically appointed the winner by the Supreme Court and Jeb Bush.

Because no one violated the TOS. It was a matter of subjective judgement completely. There were many heated posts here including mine and we should not bar anyone from their free speech unless there are truly mean and nasty personal attacks or vile language. We are all adults here, we can handle it. If someone is insulted doesn't mean someone was intentionally insulting them.

I think it was unfair, immature and irrational to bar someone from this board who was a very strong and intelligent contributor. And not on your side of the debate.

Thank you! I never believed her claims to begin with since she takes everything I say and twists it.

Since when has you're side worried about what message is being sent to Al Queda or dictators like Saddam?

<<"it is wise not to believe every word that you read that comes from Renee's mouth">>.....I'll add: or anyone else's!!! I really am getting quite sick of the (preferable via someone else) 'Renee-bashing' going on here! It reminds me very much of the gossippy whispers

They were prepared to send Hansl Blix in for another 18 months to search for them and/or the documents reporting their destruction. Seeing SH's history of sabotaging all search, it would have taken even longer.

What is the hurry to go to war? What would it have hurt to wait longer? The Intelligence reports our government was getting before they went to war, if they had bothered to pay attention, told them that Iraq had no involvement with Al Qaeda and no WMDs. Still they went to war. They had planned to do so BEFORE 9-11.

We are sorry, but we are not informed of who reports who.
