ALL BUSH SUPPORTERS READ THIS

I blagged this from a War On Terror Ivillage board:

'In his memoirs, "A World Transformed," written five years ago, George Bush Sr. wrote the following to explain why he didn't go after Saddam Hussein at the end of the Gulf War.

"Trying to eliminate Saddam...would have incurred incalculable human

and political costs. Apprehending him was probably impossible.... We

would have been forced to occupy Baghdad and, in effect, rule Iraq....

There was no viable "exit strategy" we could see, violating another of

our principles. Furthermore, we had been consciously trying to set a

pattern for handling aggression in the post-Cold War world. Going in

and occupying Iraq, thus unilaterally exceeding the United Nations'

mandate, would have destroyed the precedent of international response

to aggression that we hoped to establish. Had we gone the invasion

route, the United States could conceivably still be an occupying power

in a bitterly hostile land."

If only his son could read.'

"Everyone knows..." is your attempt at rebuttal?!?!

Where is your proof?!?!?!

To say everyone knows that Bush was given the presidency by the Supreme Court and Jeb Bush belies your astounding ignorance.

All the even most liberal recounts "gave" the election to Bush.

I don't have to put words in your mouth, Donna. Like Kerry, your own words trip you up so well.

And why change the subject from your assertion that unborn babies have no thoughts and feelings while your "anybody but Bush" candidate made a career and millions of dollars believing otherwise?

Who can rebut someone who only repeats what they read in the Associated Press?

Get ready for 4 more years of Bush, Donna. The hatred of the leftists is re-electing him faster than anything the Republicans can do to attract votes.

Sondra, I have never accused you of 'Renee-bashing.' We have differences of opinion which, yes, at times, gets personal.

Our exchanges have to do with the subject of this board, politics. Yes we get personal with each other on the issues because we have each put so much out about ourselves that is personal when we are making our points. When I say I think a, b, and c because I personally d, then the responses I get are going to be personal. I am going to be 'accused of' being a Bush supporter

Whew! I kept my composure.

Looks like Donna has taken on Mystic's mission here.

The polls for Kerry are way down. Is it a scorched earth campaign now, Donna?

Disagreement is fine, but you've been around long enough to know that calling someone a liar is not, so if you would please let me know which of my statements you are referring to, I can either respond to you or report a violation.

Some of his very first posts were about how he was going to get called on the carpet and shut out, so I think he was getting off on creating as much controversy as he could and that his intention was to keep pushing the envelope until what he kept saying was going to happen,

Oh, I see. 'You' are the intelligent ones who knew the state of Saddams WMD program more accurately than our intelligence services, the EU, the UN, & most govenrments in the Middle East.

Were you channeling Saddam to get this information, or what?

<<"I see nothing wrong with his mission statement.">>.....of course you don't, because you agree with his POV's, and look no further. But for it has nothing to do with whether I agree with someone's POV or not. I've had and ám having wonderful and respectful exchanges with posters from both sides of the fence, who are well aware of my POV's. I strongly oppose sabotaging honest debate, which your NBF engaged in, that's all.

<<"Most here do the same thing and don't admit to it.">>.....I strongly disagree with that!! <<"most here">> are not here to (try and) <<"defeat your opponent is to get them to lose their composure...I've worked at trying to refine doing that down to a fine art">>.

<<"As I have said ad nauseum, we are all adults here. OR are we?">>....I would sincerely hope so yes.

I'm beginning to have my doubts. Sometimes those with the greatest years are the most immature, and others, like Miffy, are wise beyong their years.

Ah, the "I know you are but what am I" leftist response.

Tell you what: Look up all the recounts and then come back and tell us they're wrong.

Once again, Donna, since you seem relatively eager to "rebut":

How can you tell us:

1. Unborn children have no thoughts and feelings;

2. Vote for John Edwards, who made a career and millions of dollars channeling the thoughts and feelings of unborn children.

So far, all you've done is told me since Edwards did it in the past, it doesn't count.

Anyone could say that ridiculous statement to you about anything you've complained of about Bush.

Sorry, Donna, I'm still keeping my composure.
