Bush Opens a Double-Digit Lead!

New York: For the first time since the Presidential race became a two person contest last spring, there is a clear leader, the latest TIME poll shows. If the 2004 election for President were held today, 52% of likely voters surveyed would vote for President George W. Bush, 41% would vote for Democratic nominee John Kerry, and 3% would vote for Ralph Nader, according to a new TIME poll conducted from Aug. 31 to Sept. 2. Poll results are available on TIME.com and will appear in the upcoming issue of TIME magazine, on newsstands Monday, Sept. 6.

Vietnam war record acknowledged on Sunday he had no proof to back his charge that Kerry fabricated the reports of enemy fire that won him two medals.

All this is meant to distract the US public's attention away from the economy and the situation in Iraq.
Bush has used these tactics before.
Ask John McCain.

In case you missed this important News Flash...Kerry served in Viet Nam. He's a WAR HERO doncha know? It's the truth. Kerry continually brings up his Viet Nam experience. I think it's safe to surmise that it's Kerry who is trying to keep the US public's attention from our healthy economy and the positive reconstruction in Iraq. BTW, there are other cities in Iraq besides Fallujah. But the Average American would be hard pressed to find out about them given the media's deliberate silence on the positive gains made in that country.
I said to DENOUNCE the BOUNCE because gaining in the polls based on promoting boldfaced lies about your opponent's record is just dragging this race further into the mud. And doing it with a twinkle in their eye and a smile on their faces just makes it all the more nauseating. Do the Republicans feel they need to be so dishonest to win? Yes, they won the bounce, but lost any last shred of respect I had for them as reasonable people. They're working as hard as they can to detatch the election from reality and the way the world actually works.
I said the Republicans are hoping that you're stupid because anyone who understands policy and Senate proceedure would see right through their applause lines about the $87 Billion and Kerry's vote against ONE appropriations bill. The Republicans are hoping that you're not curious enough to find out that the President was set to actually VETO funding for the troops if he did not get his blank check on the reconstruction money. Would the RNC delegates all do their robotic flip-flop dance for Bush if they knew he first threatened to veto the funds before saying he'll do anything in his power to provide what the troops need?

Like the net loss in jobs during Bush's term?
The untendered contracts in Iraq?
The ongoing dispute between the Defence Dept. and Haliburton's billing records in Iraq?
and Cheney's continuing ties to Haliburton?
<<Like the net loss in jobs during Bush's term? >>
Like getting attacked by Al Queda & taking over an economy on the downturn doesn't have something to do with that.

Why is that an issue? Kerry didn't want to spend the $87 billion. Has he changed his mind AGAIN???
<>
Oooohhh, now there's a bad one. The headlines would be if there were no contractor disputes. How do you imagine this would be any different under a Kerry presidency? Would his defense dept, just go ahead and pay all the invoices they get sent without questioning them?
