This one is un-official, the official reminders are the ones that are sent to a member's email with the recap of the post and an explanation of why it was removed.
I've asked this before on this message board but I'll ask it again, I'm only one person with more than one channel to moderate, each channel consisting of more than one message board. With the heated discussions at Politics Today alone I'm barely caught up to September 4th with sifting through the threads and removing the violations. You may notice that some of your posts have been removed but no official warning was sent to your email. Call it a grace period; I've seen mention of the unfairness of iVillage so out from under my 'paperwork' I'm waving a small white flag and am going to try to be 'fair' to everyone and previous posts (from before today) removed today will not receive an official warning.
Here's another thought. Terms of Service aside... picture the others on the boards as people not unlike yourself in many ways, with whom if you were debating face to face would you be taking the same liberties with your words? If you answered 'yes' to that then please ask yourself this, if you were debating these issues with your loved ones around Sunday dinner would you take these liberties with your words? If you still answered 'yes' then take a few deep breaths and sit on your hands for as long as it takes to proofread what you have just typed and think of a nicer way to phrase it.
I've been advised by the iVillage Policy Manager that if it's not possible to maintain a sense of civility then we have the option of changing the face of the message board totally. Please do not allow mean comments and judgements upon others to lead the closure of this message board. Although I myself don't participate in the conversations, I've learned a great deal about political issues that I may otherwise never have concerned myself with. I also know that most all of you enjoy participating in the discussions here.
The board is to debate politics, not to slander each other. Lets get it back on track please for the sanity of all of us and the longevity of the message board.
Thank you for your understanding.

Bumping to the top for the day of grace (no reminders)... and to thank you for maintaining
