"He's out of office now and has been for some time....get over it."

Yes, I think the same thing whenever the liberals I know (including those here) keep invoking his presidency as some sort of lost utopia. There are those of us who know better.

Let's get up to speed. Our country's in a mess, and people can sit around & ponder the past or get busy and take an objective look at what's going on NOW. If we've got a liar in the white house now, it's time to take action.

As I said in the other thread you brought this up in;

Funny how the Democrats claim the Swift Boat Vets are lying about Kerry's service, yet the Texans for Truth are telling the truth about Bush's service. The Democrats cried that the Bush campaign is behind the SBV ads, should us Republicans start crying that the Kerry campaign is behind this ad? Gee, I wonder if Kerry will come out and condemn these ads? I won't hold my breath.

Ok slowing it down to a Texan swagger(I truly dislike being in Texas)..

What i am commenting is on what you said-->And your point is? Mine was simply that even if there *were* a group called Arkansans For Truth, the liberals and other Clinton supporters would still give him the benefit of the doubt .... even with his entire slimy history laid out before them. But it's OK when it's Texans doing it to Bush. Kind of a double standard if you ask me.

Bev

Yes, people are typically given the benefit of doubt, just like I am sure many people gave Bush the benefit of the doubt. Hence my replying--->By giving the benefit of the doubt, it usually goes on both sides of the political party. I thought in this country you are innocent until proven guilty?

Texans are doing it but please be reminded it is not all Texans, it is just those Texans that do not like Bush and who had given him the benefit of the doubt at one time. So explain to me where is the double standards? Just becuase some of these Texans had the sense to do something instead of doing nothing, this is annoying to you and it is slimy? If that is the case, so is Vets against Kerry. Do you feel what they are doing is slimy? So if it is slimy, by your own words in hoping for Arkansasans for Truth, you are willing to behind slimy tactics also.

I think that since Bush has been president for the last four years, we dont need to focus on the past, we need to focus on the present. I don't care what Bush did 30 years ago, I care what he is doing today.

He has built up a massive debt, he started a war that should have been prevented and 1003 Americans hae died, he took our military resources away from the war on terror in order to fight a war in Iraq that is disentrgrating into chaos...

Enough about the past, let's focus on the present!!

My reference to "slimy" had nothing to do with anyone's tactics, it was in reference to Clinton's shady past. We don't seem to be communicating well here so why don't we just quit while we're behind.

The only difference is the Swift Boat people were not even there. It is all speculation. With Bush actual documents exist! People who actually served in his supposed platoon! I don't know about you but I prefer to see facts as opposed to speculation.

What about the SwiftBoat Veterans attacking Kerry? Faux News has interviewed John O'Neill numerous times about his book on Kerry. The facts are, that John Kerry Went to Vietnam. Baby Bush hide out in the National Guard. Baby Bush didn't even complete his service in the national guard. Aren't you proud of Baby Bush? I think this ad is just turn about fair play. If The SwiftBoat Veterans can attack Kerry, then these Texan can attack Baby Bush.
