BUSH IS EVIL

After reading all these posts, its seems fruitless to even argue with eachother. Bush is just plain evil. That's it. He will be remembered in 100 years (if he doesn't destroy the world before then) as a terrible person, like Pinnochet, Stalin, etc. There is no arguing. He is causing misery and heartache to too many people to ignore this fact.

Bush just wants to start a holy war. And the fundamentalist Muslims want to keep him in power so the war can begin.

Do you think the 'war' started on 9/11? I don't think so! They were attacks way before! And as far as the terrorists claim, americans started the war when they had bases in their 'holy land' and of course their claims that it's supporting an oppressive state (Israel). Again, their claim, not mine.

Who 'started' the war isn't that clear cut in my opinion, especially since the opponent isn't a country per se, but a terrorist group.

I do believe political terrorism never sprouts without seeds. The "seeds" have always been the same, througout history: feeling victimized, abused, disenfrenchised, injustice. This isn't about excusing the perpertrator, but about understanding, so that one can get to the root. How does one really fight sexual abuse? One must first fight it the traditional way, finding and punishing the abusers, but then also getting treatment for the young victims, so that they don't themselves become later abusers. Young victims of family violence are more likely to become abusers themselves, children who have been sexually abuse or physically abused are more likely to become abusers. One needs to understand so as to break the cycle of violence.

Same thing with terrorism. While we need to actively find the terrorists and put them away, we also need to fight the root of terrorism, so that new terrorists don't just replace the ones we put away. Nothing will prevent more terrorism in my opinion than peace in the middle east. Peace that is just for all sides.

Actually it is the other way around. People around the world have lived with terrorism for decades only US knows about it now. You really need to read some world news before you make comments like this. It is very rude, arrogant and incorrect to say the least.

Please help me understand what you are trying to say.

The first key to wisdom is constant and frequent questioning, for by doubting we are led to question and by questioning we arrive at the truth.  -

Bitter anyone?

Geez. I wouldn't "ASSume" what my salary is. You have no idea. I've never owned a pair of $100 sneakers but are you saying that someone has to do manual labor in order for their compesation to be "just"? Are you saying that all my college education is worthless? I'm not contributing to society??? That's ridiculous.

I get paid what I do because others are either incapable of it, or don't want to do it. Its the law of supply and demand. Simple.

Oh, and your platitude of "sorry to offend" while then continuing the offense doesn't fly here. Thanks anyway.

Rich people, for the most part, don't do much for making money. Stock traders, financial analysts, company CEOs. They jsut sit on their asses letting other people do the real work!

And don't forget the inherited rich like Bush. Now those guys work especially hard.

And like the Hilton girls. You know they never had to work but now all they do is reality t.v. and modeling or whatever. They'll never have to really work or go to college. *shrug* XOXO.
