BUSH IS EVIL

After reading all these posts, its seems fruitless to even argue with eachother. Bush is just plain evil. That's it. He will be remembered in 100 years (if he doesn't destroy the world before then) as a terrible person, like Pinnochet, Stalin, etc. There is no arguing. He is causing misery and heartache to too many people to ignore this fact.

Bush just wants to start a holy war. And the fundamentalist Muslims want to keep him in power so the war can begin.

I'm so sick of people defending millionaires as "working hard" for what they have. Who doesn't work hard! Most people do! Why should only a few people hog all the resources? I'm all for people having nice things but the extravagance and self-engrandisement in this country is just sick. And people stand up for the ones who steal from the rest of us as "working hard." Come on! We all work hard! I work 8-6 and then go to school at night! Do I work less hard than a millionaire???

Rich people, for the most part, don't do much for making money. Stock traders, financial analysts, company CEOs. They jsut sit on their asses letting other people do the real work!

I'm going to have to take issue with your generalization about "financial analysts" sitting on their ass. I am a financial analyst. I work my tail off, every day and twice as hard quarterly and 4 times as hard at year end. In order to get where I am I worked full time and went to school full time and managed to graduate magna cum laude. Additionally, I neglected my spouse for 4 months as I spent EVERY waking hour that wasn't at work studying to pass the CPA exam. People work hard to get what they have. I'm by no means rich, but I'm working on it. I think I've paid my dues and deserve every crumb that comes to me. Don't begrudge what others have been able to make of themselves.

Sorry to offend you. I'm sure you've worked really hard to pget where you are. My point is, you shouldn't make the salary I assume you're making for what you do. You're really not contributing anything to society. Doctors, counselors, teachers, public servants, etc. should have higher salaries. People who labor. Have back problems because they're stitching your $100 nike sneakers.

Wow. You not only have ridiculously unrealistic visions of an "ideal society," you jump to offensive conclusions, too.

Besides, if Christianity was the target, they would have hit the Vatican, not the WTC, and the pentagon. Both are hardly 'bastions' of christianity, wouldn't you say?

America is hardly *really* christian, anyhow. Or at least, that's certainly not the image it projects to the world. If one watches american TV or american movies, one doesn't exactly get the impression that americans are very religious or even moral. As a canadian, I know better, but for those who live far away from the US, that impression from the media is the only one they get.

I think the loss of morals (perceived or real) of the 'american culture' is more a target of the terrorists than is christianity. After all, Christianity and Islam share most principles.

"I'm sorry. I really have no idea what you are talking about."

Now that I believe.

Oaama Bin laden was trained by guess who, yes, our CIA this was during the Reagan Administration, Look it up it's true.

Mary Shelley wrote the book that spawned the movie, "frankenstien" in which a Dr, frankenstein created a being and at one point exclaims, "I've created a monster" based on what I am saying about OBL, then WE, (america) could exclaim, "I've created a monster" also. See the connection?

Actually, no, I don't see the connection. The post to which I responded said something about Timothy McVeigh, and I have no idea what that has to do with Frankenstein. Keep trying, though!

Here is what you did say, in fact here is the the entire post:

"<>

Right, and if Clinton had taken care of him when he had the chance we wouldn't have to deal with him now. (oops .... sorry, I know how much it upsets you when I mention him)

Bev"

Yes mam, you did insinuate that. If I fail to take the trash out, my house will stink. it will be my fault, but I dont need to say that, it is insinuated in the statement. Cause and effect. So, yes, while you did not say those exact works you did insinuate it, and anyone reading it should come to the conclusion I did, that you think it is Clinton's fault that OBL is still here to do us harm. I did not stop him either, it muct be my fault too.

It is true, My mother in law just came from India and I asked her what do people think about Bush and she said, they all hate him. This is from ordinary people you talk to like neighbors and freinds. And this inspite of the job growth in India because of him. I was really surprised.

ITA. I don't think that Islam in general, or anti-Muslim sentiment in particular, was anywhere close to being on the U.S. radar screen before 9/11. And I believe the vast majority of Americans still do not consider this (meaning the war on terror, the war in Iraq, whatever war you want to call it) to be a "holy war."
