Teresa Heinz Kerry Calls Opponents of Health Care Plan Idiots

This really makes me miss THK speaking in public on a daily basis. In Lancaster, PA the wife of the democratic presidential candidate showed again why the Kerry campaign has kept her silent for so long. She was speaking to a reporter and commenting on John Kerrys health care plan

From AP…

Teresa Heinz Kerry said Wednesday that "only an idiot" would fail to support her husband's health care plan. "Of course, there are idiots," Heinz Kerry stated. If Kerry is elected, Heinz Kerry predicted that opponents of his health care plan would be voted out of office. "Only an idiot wouldn't like this," she said.

She wasn’t finished; she let everyone know that she believes the common man doesn’t see her as a “rich witch.”

"I don't have to sell it - the people want it," Heinz Kerry said of the health plan. "The common man doesn't look at me as some rich witch. I talk about what I see. It has always been so. You judge people not by their pocketbook but by their actions. Walk the walk."

The Kerry camp needs to get Teresa more face time.

Heinz Kerry: Opponents Of Health Care Plan Are 'Idiots'

Candidate's Wife Doesn't Mince Words

Teresa Heinz Kerry says "only an idiot" would fail to support her husband's health care plan.

But Heinz Kerry, the wife of Democratic presidential candidate John Kerry, told the (Lancaster) Intelligencer Journal that "of course, there are idiots."

Kerry's proposal includes health care subsidies for children, the unemployed, small companies and more; and government assistance to insurers and employers that keep premiums for workers down.

If Kerry is elected, Heinz Kerry predicts that opponents of his health care plan will be voted out of office. She says, "Only an idiot wouldn't like this."

Heinz Kerry stumped in Lancaster, Harrisburg and York on Wednesday, the third day of a four-day campaign swing through Pennsylvania.

On Thursday, she holds a roundtable discussion health care at a hotel in King of Prussia.

If I have read Kerry's health plan correctly, it is largely a rehash of Hillary Clinton's fiasco from 1994....and yes, people were voted out of office because of it, but they were Democrats.

Has John Kerry had his name on any major healthcare legislation reform in the last 20 yrs? If people want it so bad, then why hasn't he brought forth a major reform bill? No doubt about it we need major reform, but seems like he is all talk if he hasn't done anything before now about it.

It figures you would agree with her insulting attitude.

Oh, no independentgrrrl, you've got it all wrong, ;) it's the Republicans that are all about slime, smear, and calling people names. I'm sure that soon there will be a post saying how commenting on Mrs. Heinz' views of anyone that doesn't agree with her husband as an "idiot" is smearing her good name.
