I want to see how the Sunday morning lib shows will spin this. What I want to know is how the DNC planned to get away with these forgeries knowing that ALL sources are easily verifiable on the internet?

<> Information? No. It's sarcasm.
<> Information? No. It's a question. Was I even talking about John O'Neill?
<> Information? No. It's an argument. (Something that's usually backed up by information, but in this case it's an equivilancy your pointing out, which is fine.) You're arguing that it's not fair if the Dem's won't let the Rep's use the same argument they've used against the swifties. I guess you could say you're informed me of your opinion. A few posts ago I said you're absolutely entitled to this opinion, but just don't go around supporting it with untruths, like "Barnes is employed by Kerry."
<> Information? No. Another argument.
<> Not information either. You've informed me of your low opinion of "leftists" - a term I really, really wish you'd stop using. Which means you'll just use it even more.
If A provides a service to B and B is intended to profit in some way because of A's service, then A has worked for B. I call A an employee of B, making no distinction as to whether any money changed hands between B and A. Unpaid employees exist in many organizations, e.g. foundations (and 527's). They may not receive cash compensation, but are often provided with office space, a phone, and access to organizational facilities, for which the organization must pay. Perhaps you call these people "volunteers", but they receive compensation in some fashion by the organizations they serve.
Several here have argued that the Swift Boat Veterans for Truth and anyone who says the memos are forgeries are not to be believed because they're associated with Republicans, yet they tell us that Barnes and widely allegedly forged memos (with plenty of "alleged" supporting evidence, against one CBS "authority") are to be believed even though Barnes "works for" Kerry.
em·ploy·ee also em·ploy·e = A person who works for another in return for financial or other compensation.

Also, with regards to the memo's, if you read what the Chicago Tribune recently wrote, what ABC News is saying, CNN, and the Washington Post, you will see that even two of CBS's own experts said that they are not sure of the authenticity of the memo's as there are severe questions, and doubts about them.
I also heard on MSNBC or CNN last night that (reporter or editor from the Chicago Tribune...cant recall his name) says he thinks that 60 Minutes II will be issuing some form of retraction tonight.....this should be good, and another knock on Dan Rather.
The bottom line is that CBS did not do their homework on these documents, and seemed to have dismissed all of the people that said they were most likely fakes, as well as talking to other people who would corroberate the Killian family story. It doesnt look good for CBS at this point in time.
