Don't forget the Saudis.

President Bush and the bin Laden family (yes Usama bin Laden's family) have been connected through dubious business deals since 1977, when Salem, the head of the bin Laden family business, one of the biggest construction companies in the world, invested in Bush's start-up oil company, Arbusto Energy, Inc.

The Saudis have bailed Bush out many times.

<<How does that fact that Bush was given all his.>>

What kind of garbage is this? According to your rational, anyone who has a successful business because they were originally steaked by investors or banks were GIVEN their success. You know better than that.

Bush EARNED most of what he has through the sale of his business ventures. He personally was behind the

Somebody posted an article in the thread called "Interesting article about Kerry" and in it talks about how in his early days he wasn't doing well financially or emotionally etc. but yet he survived it and still was able to do his job and stuff. Go check it out. XOXO.

I'm glad for their team. Is that one of those minor league teams? I'm not familiar with all the baseball teams like I am with football. What about all the oil and investing in that? XOXO.

Well, I wasn't going to say anything, but since you brought it back up, to the top that is.

<<"I have always stepped in and defended posters who were being insulted or teased about their poor English" When? >>

"Both before and after becoming CL. I'm sure you'll understand my discrection in not going into specifics." I don't think it's discretion. Maybe prevarication. It's an unproven claim. No documentation, not even forgeries, to prove your claim. ;)

"Since that apparently doesn't please either" I've never seen one of your posts that tries to please.

"I'll keep to my own council instead of attempting to be responsive to my growing gaggle of critics." That is so funny. It reminds me of "Nobody loves me. Everybody hates me. Guess I'll to eat worms."

So does that mean you mean to say "lose" or "loose?" Still diidn't answer the question. We all make grammatical and spelling errors, why get so defensive. I myself have always had trouble with the "lose" "loose" thing. No biggie.

Good grief!!! If I had known what field of horse hockey and cow patties that post was I’d have brought my hip boots. Bush as a successful businessman? Ha! If his name hadn’t been Bush and with a wealthy influential family and friends who continually bailed him out he would have sunk into a cloud of obscurity.

His first company Arbusto, whose name he later changed to Bush Exploration to capitalize on the family name, was a failure. When it was sold to Spectrum 7, Bush Exploration was in debt to the tune of $3 billion dollars. When Spectrum 7 was posting a $400,000 loss a couple of years later and still carrying the $3 billion dollar debt, Harken Oil and Gas bailed them out. When Harken started to tank, Bush sold most of his stock for a little over $800,000, using about $600,000 to pay off the loan he’s taken out to invest in Texas Rangers. A couple of months later Harken posted a $23 million dollar loss. Can anyone see a pattern here? Large debts and deficits don’t seem to bother Bush because it’s a given that somebody will bail him out.

"He personally was behind the turn around of the Rangers & took it from being a money losing joke to a profitable franchise. He put together the investors & assembled the management team to carry out his vision for the team; he successfully executed it; and made a hefty profit," - What a pile of horse hocky! Richard Rainwater was the driving force behind making the Texas Rangers profitable. Bush should get down on his knees and thank Rainwater's expertise and advise for turning his relative paltry $600,000 investment, which got him 1.8%, of the Texas Rangers, into millions. Yet the Republicans complain because Hillary Clinton made a lousy few thousand. Can anyone say hypocrisy?

It's been good for Bush to have such a rich powerful influential family and rich powerful influential friends, so that when the Supreme Court made him president he could continue to surround himself with his father's rich influential powerful friends and run up even larger debts and deficits. Not so good for the American people though.

Just One Person's Opinion

Good night.
