this website has been around for awhile and keeps a running tally of the cost of this war in Iraq. You can see the dollar cost in your community as well, (or one close). It is really an interesting site, complete with a link to describe exactly where they get their data.

here is the link and let me know what you think!

The war is "out of sight-out of mind" for most. Makes such a site all the more important. Watching American coverage of the war is like visiting a family with an elephant in their living room that the family is in denial of. Everyone one knows there is an elephant there but all walk around it carefully and equally carefully avoid naming it, hoping it will disappear.

Currently CNN concentrates on the Laci Peterson murder and that Utah womans murder, sucking it dry of any news and interest beyond all propriety. One life in US is worth 100 overseas.

I can't understand it. It was like the Jean Benet Ramsey thing, lasted years on the covers of all of the tabliods, and top story on the news. I kept thinking, what about all the other murdered kids who they could not find the killer of? And as for Laci Peterson, she is gone, why can't wee let her family have some peace? and is that the best we can do for a cover up? Come on. They can pay someone to make the news, can't they?

People that believe Bush did the right thing by attacking Iraq don't want to hear or see the reality of what he has done. It is exactly like ignoring the elephant in the living room. And the elephant keeps getting bigger.

Joe Scarborough's show on MSNBC I think also does that. I'm not sure if he does every episode or not though cause I don't always get the chance to see it. I try to see it at least once a week. XOXO.

yeah, well, eventually that elephant is going to have to relieve himself.... I suppose they can deny that too though. It is sad but I have hope. I really do.
