I don't give a rat's a$$ what some college professor thought of Bush back in his college days. Why is this even being posted? Are we going to start questioning his college education now? Is a judge going to demand all Bush's academic records be released for scrutiny? OY!

And why is this an issue? I didn't apply myself very well in high school. I hardly ever did my homework and if it weren't for the fact that I passed my tests I would have failed, but instead I got a B-/C average. I practically failed Algebra and Chemistry! Does all this make me unfit to become president someday?

It appears that people are just coming out of the woodwork to get their 15 minutes of fame by bashing Bush. It's ridiculous! What next? His pre-school coming out saying how little Georgie didn't share his toys with other kids during playtime?

What? -Georgie didn't share his toys with other kids during playtime? I didn't know that. LoL

Of course you're right. George may not have applied himself. Getting a low C average in university doesn't dis-qualify someone from being president. It would, however, disqualify most people from going on, to almost any university in the world, for a Masters degree. Even the the mediocre universities expect better than that.

He graduated with a GPA of 77, hardly rousing numbers. Was he not applying himself for just the 4 years in undergrad work or did he manage to not apply himself for two more years?

Is any of this relevent? No, unless you're called upon to make decisions for the most powerful country in the world and you simply rely on the decisions of others because you can't be bothered to "apply" yourself.

Maybe, maybe not. People change, I know many people that did nothing but drink and do drugs through college, managed to maintain a GPA to graduate, and now are very successful people, use excellent judgement, and now choose to apply themselves in many different ways, at work, and in personal life. I know others that did the same and couldn't manage to maintain a GPA that kept them in college. I know that many Dem's, liberals, "lefties", or whatever term someone chooses to apply, don't agree with Bush's decisions, but that doesn't mean he hasn't applied himself in making those decisions or that those desicions even lack responsible judgement. It's a difference of opinion. Bush isn't the simpleton that many would like us to believe. To turn the argument around, to get through college with a 'C' average without studying, and drinking and doing drugs as reported, maybe he's got some natural smarts up there that carried him through without studying.

It's obviously not enough to do the job he's been entrusted with today.

Touche. Not everyone agrees with your assessment of his job as President, in fact, a lot of people don't agree. It's a shame when society can judge a persons intellect on whether or not they agree with them or not.

The professor in the article was Bush's grad school teacher at Harvard Business, which Bush attended after Yale, and after his years in the Air National Guard. He was in his mid-twenties by then.
