"I think if you know what you believe, it makes it a lot easier to answer questions. I can't answer your question."— GWB Reynoldsburg, Ohio, Oct. 4, 2000

Or maybe the smarts were never there, only lots and lots of money.

Maybe not, but how about his intelligence staff saying he is misleading the American people by sugar-coating what is going on in Iraq.

I had a debate with the professor teaching a Political Science course...he stated that there was no possibility that a particular despot would ever be removed as head of his country except upon his death. I said I wouldn't bet the rent on it...approximately three years after taking his class, Nicoli Ceacescu was indeed removed as head of Rumania, however he was shot by his own people, which the learned professor just knew could never happen.

Because someone is a college professor doesn't mean they know everything.

And I felt that the war in Iraq would be a military failure. I also predicted that we would find no wmds. In fact I and many others that see through bush's lies were certain of that. When bush proclaimed major combat operations in Iraq over while on the USS Abraham Lincoln, I knew he was full of crap.

Just because someone is president, doesn't mean they know everything (or in bush's case anything).

By the way, I don't think it was such a stretch to predict that Nicolae Ceausescu would be taken before natural death. So your professor was incorrect in insisting Ceausescu would not be killed by his own people, but I am doubting he was a Yale professor.

Well yeah...college profs aren't psychic. This one is talking about his first hand experience with one of his students. Wouldn't you agree he knows a thing or two about that?

As long as we're slamming professors, I had one in a communications class who in '88 told me that Fox would never make it as a network because three networks is enough. Oops.

I don't typically judge comments taken out of text. I have found that when I have, I am often wrong. There is a reason that people do such things, and it usually is to change the content in some way, small or large.

So how come you're not running for President?

The professor in question taught at Columbia University...but had a Master's degree from Yale.

He is entitled to his opinion, but his position as a college professor doesn't mean it should necessarily be taken seriously....

I believe the man who started Fedex originally submitted the business plan as his project for a doctorale thesis, and was told this will never work.

You mean me and the millions of other Americans that see through bush's lies? Give me a break. Pretty much means you have no comeback because you believed bush as he misled you and continues to mislead you.

OK.. and what does this have to do with the dismal state of our great country?

You mean me and the millions of other Americans that see through bush's lies"

So how come the polls aren't reflecting this?

OK.. and what does this have to do with the dismal state of our great country"

You brought it up. We could ask the same of this professors opinion of Bush, I suppose.
