This is just the most horrific act of terrorism i have ever come across. More than teh number of people massacred here, its the nature of the crime thats shocking. Children should never ever be involved in such an act. Children made to sit without water and food for two days...children so dehydrated that they had to resort to drink their own urine... and reports of children being shot in the back while trying to escape... and of one child being shot in the neck and back for a mind-blowing FORTY SEVEN times...when even one bullet would do the job is beyond me.

I do not have children and do not intend to have children(i want a big litter of dogs) but this story touched my heart and shook me to my very core. I can only TRY and imagine the pain and anguish of the parents of whose children were held hostage... teh uncertainty, the not knowing, of having your child at teh mercy of someone else and you not being able to protect him/her even if you tried.

Also, we need to spare our thoughts for the children SPARED from this tragedy. their mental agony, their scars, the damage done to those little ones. Is it even possible that the pain does not border into hatred and revenge? How do children continue from this? Ofcourse the answer is children being children will survive... they are resilient and will learn to cope. But that begs the question... was it necessary for them to dela with this in the first place!

My prayers and wishes to all those people who were unlucky enough to want to take their children to SCHOOL (of all places!)
