Ahh, yes-the right wing has assured us that Democrats indulge in scare tactics, not Republicans.....

Republicans Admit Mailing Campaign Literature Saying Liberals Will Ban the Bible By DAVID D. KIRKPATRICK

Published: September 24, 2004

The Republican Party acknowledged yesterday sending mass mailings to residents of two states warning that "liberals" seek to ban the Bible. It said the mailings were part of its effort to mobilize religious voters for President Bush.

The mailings include images of the Bible labeled "banned" and of a gay marriage proposal labeled "allowed." A mailing to Arkansas residents warns: "This will be Arkansas if you don't vote." A similar mailing was sent to West Virginians.

A liberal religious group, the Interfaith Alliance, circulated a copy of the Arkansas mailing to reporters yesterday to publicize it. "What they are doing is despicable,'' said Don Parker, a spokesman for the alliance. "They are playing on people's fears and emotions."

In an e-mail message, Christine Iverson, a spokeswoman for the Republican National Committee, confirmed that the party had sent the mailings.

This is crazy, Why would anyone think that because your DEM or LIB that we do not believe in GOD? Give me a break, this is just part of the Karl Rove Spin machine at work, I believe that he did this to John Mcain in the last election with the phone calls place in South carolina, stateing he had an illigimit (sp) child , and the child he adopted with his wif was the ill child. Why would gay people take over? they just want the same freedoms we have, and by rights they should. Why do people jump so quick to judge? I believe that if your gay, its genetic, you have no choice,my friends that are gay have told me if they could wake up straight tomorrow, they would. Why would anyone want to live with the abuse they live with on a daily basis? I believe that My GOD is a loveing God and can forgive anything!!!! we alone have to stand before him and be judged. He alone can judge people, not me not you, no the church or these right wing nuts. my 2 cents.

I agree. I was brought up in a Christian home and definietly believe in God but I agree more-so on the dems side then reps when it comes to politics. The Church and the State are supposed to be kept seperate so everybody can have their freedoms. With gays I do think it's apart of who you are when you come here. A soul/body type thing. It doesn't bother me personally. I could care less since it doesn't involve me and I'm all for everybody having equal rights. Just because a same-sex couple wants to get married doesn't mean that it's stopping me from marrying a guy. *shrug* It's not our place to tell people they're going to hell. Only one being can do that personally. I, personally, just don't like it when people try to bring in religion to politics. *shrug* XOXO.

LOL about the hurricane. Isn't it also going to Texas? Heh. And Kerry is a Catholic Christian, so why would he want to do that? I once saw an article that showed Kerry taking communion one Sunday. And I also read that one Sunday he was at a service and the Bishop or whoever it was refused to give him communion since he's pro-choice. I personally didn't like that. :\ XOXO.
