^^^^Bush did not win, he was appointed by the Supreme Court. Do you honestly believe Michael Moore faked that footage, or showed it to us with the motive of emboldening American enemies? That's a bit fantastical wouldn't you say? You seem upset because you have pledged loyalty to Bush & Co. and have nothing but stubbornness now to base that decision on (it's not too late! LOL!)

"The leftists would have preferred that Bush run screaming from the room, "Help! Help! We're under attack! We're under attack!"
^^^^Leftists? Is this El Salvador? Who talks like that? (Maybe it IS zell miller!) Do you honestly believe the millions of people who were stunned to see the footage of Bush receiveing the news of the WTC attacks actually feel he should have "run screaming from the room"? Do you deliberately misinterpret the nature of our critique? You act as if life is black & white, and there were only 2 options for Bush: to stare frozen like a deer in headlights OR run screaming. Of course there were a hundred ways he might have reacted. His choice was to do something (nothing) which deeply disturbs many Americans.
In fact, most of us discuss that scene with passion and say, "if only he had stood up, thanked the children calmly, waved goodbye to them and left the room to telephone his staff..." It has to do with a painful feeling of disappointment, that as a president and as a man he hadn't the slightest clue what to do. His paralysis is upsetting to see and we have a right to feel that way.
I saw F.9/11 at a theatre down the street from my apartment, here in New York, and the gasps in the crowd were like people being punched in the stomach.
As far as "leftist buzzwords"... that's a buzzword in and of itself! Although it sounds a little time warpy, and it's more of a catchphrase than a buzzword. You seem really upset by the concept that buzzwords and catchphrases might be playing a part in this campaign. Maybe you could discuss that with Karl Rove. And if anyone else is having fits and suspects they might are being assaulted by "buzzwords" or other sly language/marketing, feel free to consult www.factcheck.org - it's great!
Good ones.......we own a copy of "Outfoxed", and also "Uncovered"---not sure where my husband got a copy of "Uncovered", but he's made numerous copies of OUR copy and handed them out at political events he attends! I've got "The Corporation" on my waiting list at Netflix, as I doubt it will play at theaters where I live. Another one I picked up today (it was just released on DVD today) but haven't watched yet is "The Hunting of the President." Not really relevant to next month's election, but it sounded interesting. I'm going to assume it's probably fairly biased though, as it was made by a friend of Clinton's......but should make for some good watchin'!!!
"What do the Kerry supporters say about Kerry's own admission that he sat motionless for over 40 minutes, unable to move. Does that mean if Kerry were in the school, he would have sat there even after the class had been dismissed?"
^^^^Um what's your source please?
And what's your point please? You make no sense. Senator Kerry was not the PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES at that moment. What I did when I heard the news was hug my friend whose father worked in the WTC as she crumpled to the floor, then call my husband to verify that he was safe and tell him I'd meet him at home, and for about an hour I dashed up & down the hall of my office, from the TV set in my boss' office, to my desk where I kept calling my parents to reassure them I was OK. At some point I changed into sneakers so I could evacuate the building with everyone & walk an hour home, and I do know that I gave my number to the receptionist who volunteered to be the last one off our floor-- in case anyone else might need a place to stay since the city was in lockdown (many of my coworkers commute from NJ or Brooklyn)
So that's what I did when I heard the news. The argument that I would do exactly that, were I the President, makes no sense. If I were president at that moment, I WOULD BEHAVE LIKE ONE. If I were leader of the country, I WOULD LEAD. I would excuse myself, follow Andy Card out of the room, telephone the appropriate cabinet members and give an immediate statement to the press urging Americans to stay calm. But I wasn't president. Bush was.
<< but you can't lie about real footage >> Facts can be twisted with editing.
True, but what the poster was referring to were scenes that were not edited, just footage that was real and that happened as shown. Like the actual soldiers that were shown (not edited, real soldiers) and the president sitting there all that time after being told the WTC had been hit again.

"Patriotism means to stand by the Country. It does not mean to stand by the President." -- Theodore Roosevelt.
There were warnings that Al Qeada was planning an attack within the US. There were reports about flight school trainings. What would I have our pres do? Try not going on vacation for the month of August. Did W ever actually read these reports? People make fun of Gore because he is stiff & businesslike. What do you think would have happened if he were in office instead of Bush? What do you think he would have done with those reports were coming in & Tenet running around with his hair on fire? Does anyone think Gore would have been on vacation?
My feeling about protecting Saudi's is that it's traitorous to protect the society that attacked us.
What is your feeling about the assertions in Moore's film that GWB was protecting the Saudi's in getting the bin Laden family out of the US before they were properly questioned?>

Hopefully not for long :)
I think we got "Outfoxed" from Moveon.org; and as I said not sure WHERE my husband got "Uncovered", but cmfenno listed a website for that one too....
I don't think there's a DVD release date for "The Corporation".....
