I dont agree with liberal-idiot, just making a statement. Besides, at least liberal idiot puts up points, and does not sound like a broken record, saying the same things for the past 3 1/2 years without a shred of anything to support what is posted.

I doubt that Kerry or anyone else knew that the first plane was an attack, even though Kerry states that due to the CAVU he knew it was. He himself even states that he thought that the first plane could have been a suicide nut, without making reference to any organized attack.

I agree that when he said once the second plane hit, everyone knew it was some form of organized attack, and I also think that most people reacted much in the way everyone in the Capitol building did. They froze from shock as they could not believe what was happening.

I find it funny that Democrats like to attack the President for sitting in the classroom after the second plane hit. Even the schools Principal said he was greatful that the President appeared to remain calm as if he reacted differently, it could have caused a panic in the school.

Well since nobody knew what the source of the attacks were, there was absolutely nothing that could have been done at the moment.

Also, I think you are aware that the cabinet would already have been in contact with the appropriate military channels to try to find out what was going on.

What would you expect the President to be able to do in 15 minutes that was not done after that? Even if he reacted the split second the first plane hit, there was nothing that he, or anyone else could have done about the entire day.

Even if he were not at the school, and were in Washington DC at the White House, he could not have done anything differently (nor could anyone else if they were President).

I love those that say, "If I were President, I would have....", forgetting that they have the ultimate gift of hindsight, knowing the details of the days events, which was something nobody in Washington even dreamed about.

And what do you think could have been done differently that would have affected the outcome of that day???????????????

Even John Kerry said that nothing could have been done.

I don't pretend to know whether or not Bush could have called for fighters to be in the air asap and have the FAA comunicate any variations in planes flight plans to the military and that would have resulted in saving the hit at the Pentagon. Even if he couldn't have saved anyone else, I just wish he would have tried. I just wish he had the presence of mind to get started and do whatever he could as soon as he could. Is that too much to ask?

>>President Bush, upon learning of the first plane BEFORE he entered the classroom, opined "that's one bad pilot."<<

Here's something that I've never heard explained.

Dec. 4th 2001 Bush stated:

>>>"you're not going to believe what state I was in when I heard about the terrorist attack. I was in Florida. And my Chief of Staff, Andy Card -- actually, I was in a classroom talking about a reading program that works. I was sitting outside the classroom waiting to go in, and I saw an airplane hit the tower -- the TV was obviously on. And I used to fly, myself, and I said, well, there's one terrible pilot. I said, it must have been a horrible accident.

But I was whisked off there, I didn't have much time to think about it. And I was sitting in the classroom, and Andy Card, my Chief of Staff, who is sitting over here, walked in and said, "A second plane has hit the tower, America is under attack." <<<

Again on Jan. 5, 2002 Bush stated:

>>>Anyway, I was sitting there, and my Chief of Staff -- well, first of all, when we walked into the classroom, I had seen this plane fly into the first building. There was a TV set on. And you know, I thought it was pilot error and I was amazed that anybody could make such a terrible mistake. And something was wrong with the plane, or -- anyway, I'm sitting there, listening to the briefing, and Andy Card came and said, "America is under attack."<<<

A French film crew making a documentary in the area on Sept. 11, 2001 captured the images of the first plane striking the WTC.

They released the footage the following day.

No TV footage of the first plane striking the WTC was aired before the second plane hit.

Bush has told this lie on at least two occasions.

Why?

What else is he lying about?

By the time anyone truly knew what was going on, it was too late to do absolutely anything.

One of the news stations in NYC also happened to have the footage from a different angle, as it was broadcast that very same day.

The reports stated that al Qaeda was planning an attack on US assets.

The reports about the flight training did not make it to the higher ups until AFTER the incident, which was the major screw up in the FBI.

Gore wouldnt have done anything differently, except maybe see what polls were saying he should do.

I guess that you dont realize that the FBI cleared the Saudi Nationals to fly home, and that Richard Clarke himself okayed the flights, even though he has criticized the President for them to promote his book.

Do you have a link to that information?

Did they broadcast images from this second source in the 18 minute interval between the two attacks?

No images of the first plane striking appeared until after the second plane hit.

Bush lied.

Why?

>>8:45 a.m. (all times are EDT): A hijacked passenger jet, American Airlines Flight 11 out of Boston, Massachusetts, crashes into the north tower of the World Trade Center, tearing a gaping hole in the building and setting it afire.

9:03 a.m.: A second hijacked airliner, United Airlines Flight 175 from Boston, crashes into the south tower of the World Trade Center and explodes. Both buildings are burning.<<
