Ted Kennedy says America is less safe now--I guess he means since he has a driver's license and stopped attending AA

Did you know that if you want to be a NURSE, you can't have any prior convictions, especially ones where you have used illegal drugs, but you can become President???

Yes, and you can even become a US Senator after having killed an innocent person in a one car, drunk driving accident....leaving the scene of the accident, allowing the other person to drown, and not reporting it until the next day.

I was never too keen on Teddy K. I thought at the time what he hid was terrible. I haven't liked all Dems either. but one thing it goes to show is you don't need to be squeeky clean to have a say in running the country.

I think the opposite is true....the squeaky clean seem too smart to get involved in politics, as if you are the squeaky clean type, you would most likely tend to shy away from the aura that surrounds politics, as it is a nasty environment.

Some one must like Teddy, they keep voteing him in. I think he does have some valid points. But I do not want to argue with anyone about it.I actually watched Chris Mathews interview him on MSNBC last night and it was very intresting what he had to say. Yes he commited a terrible act, But lets not forget that we need to forgive in order to be forgiven, We have a president who has had some misshaps all the way up to the age of 40.But his past mistakes drunk driving, cocain, desertion of his guard duties ( after 30 days it's not awol its desertion) They are not what will make me vote for or against him, it's what he has done in the last 4 years, and do I think that another 4 will be good for America, thats how I decied to cast my vote. We as Americans need to focus on the here and now not thirty years ago with any Person in our goverment. just my 2 cents.

Maybe so, but as yet we have never had a president who has been convicted of using illegal drugs.
