I'm not an atheist, I'm a gnostic Christian, but here are some quotes about religion and aetheism that are interesting.

"I contend that we are both atheists. I just believe in one fewer god than you do. When you understand why you dismiss all other possible gods, you'll understand why I dismiss yours."---Sir Stephen Henry Roberts

"There is a theory which states that if anyone discovers exactly what the Universe is for and why it is here, it will instantly disappear and be replaced by something even more bizarre and inexplicable. There is another which states that this has already happened."---Douglas Adams

"It is now quite lawful for a Catholic woman to avoid pregnancy by a resort to mathematics, though she is still forbidden to resort to physics or chemistry."---H. L. Mencken.

"Work out your own salvation. Do not depend on others."---Buddha

"I have too much respect for the idea of God to make it responsible for such an absurd world."---Georges Duhamel

"I once wanted to become an atheist, but I gave up - they have no holidays."---Henny Youngman

"To you I'm an atheist; to God, I'm the Loyal Opposition."---Woody Allen

"The more I study religions the more I am convinced that man never worshipped anything but himself."---Sir Richard Francis Burton

"The belly is the reason why man does not mistake himself for a god."---Friedrich Nietzsche

"God is a comedian playing to an audience too afraid to laugh."---Voltaire

"I'm not sure, but He seems to be inordinately fond of beetles."--- J.B.S. Haldane, when asked what the study of biology had taught him about the Creator

Cynic: a blackguard whose faulty vision sees things as they are, not as they ought to be.---Ambrose Bierce, The Devil's Dictionary.

In our society today, there is a real and tangible concern about what is being called "judicial activism." Many conservative legal scholars say judges today are making absurd rulings based more on their liberal thinking than what the Constitution actually says. How did we get to this point and what can be done about it? This is why christians vote republican.

Speak for yourself. Why should a Christian vote for a party that is intent on making the rich richer while destroying the middle class, and why should a

Christian vote for a party that plunges us into an elective war where thousands on both sides have been killed or maimed unnecessarily.
