Sorry to burst your bubble, but a one point difference is a statistical dead heat, not a lead. You also failed to mention that several other new polls from your site show Bush with a 6-8 point lead.

It was cited because it is the only poll that shows Kerry actually leading.

Rush Limbaugh's old favorite the Zogby Poll shows Kerry with a slight lead or with the margin of error figured in a statistical dead heat. If you do a google on Zogby you will see that it is a very highly rated poll and it has information about specific battleground states as well.

Well Dick Morris, even though his political predictions usually leave much to be desired, as he is wrong more than he is right, said that Kerry has a problem in that 36% of his base disagree with him on Iraq and agree with Bush, compared to 61% agreeing with Kerry, which 29% of his base agree with Bush on tax cuts, while 67% agree with Kerry.

On the opposite end,91% of Bush's base agree with him on Iraq, compared to 5% that agree with Kerry. With regards to tax cuts, 88% agree with Bush, and 7% agree with Kerry.

Bush's base is solid, while Kerry's is not, which may explain why Kerry cannot take a comprehensive position on anything. He cannot afford to alienate any of his base, which is why some are leaving Kerry and are going to support Nader.

I do not envy Kerry's position.

That is funny, in watching Fox News last night, they do a poll tracker, and it said that Zogby had Bush leading 46% to 42%.

Maybe that's even newer than the one I found on google, I just typed in Zogby poll and up came a listing that said LATEST POLL! so I checked it out. I think it was a Dallas Morning News story from about a week ago.

I'll just let John Kerry's performance in the debate that was just concluded do my talking for me.
