So, what did everybody think? This debate was my first (missed last yr's) and I enjoyed it. I liked how they were both respectful to each other and professional. No sighing, making facial expressions, slouching etc. I can't wait for the vp debates. :) XOXO.

...and I find it strange that the current president usually has few detailed answers to questions in many situations.

I think it would be scary (not sKerry LOL) if the two candidates (especially the incumbant) did not have an understanding of the issues and were unable to give detailed answers. It's not like it was a surprise debate and there was no time to prepare. The topic of the debate had been agreed upon in advance.

Been there and done that. That is why this President gets my vote.

sKerry and most American liberals have not experienced such a life firsthand yet they KNOW better than the poor, oppressed people of Iraq. It is INSULTING to those Iraqis to know that these KNOW-IT-ALL liberals (living their entire lives in the comfort of their own homes) have decided that Iraqis do not deserve a chance to experience freedoms they currently enjoy. Again, it's that liberal mentality: Some people are more deserving of rights than others--and liberals get to decide who is more deserving. Unfortunately for Iraqis, liberals have said ad nauseum that they are not worth it. Talk about demoralizing a poor segment of our global village. And how typically liberal.

Perhaps you believe that President Bush lost, but I do not. Many con artists are slick talkers. . .that does not mean that they should be trusted! Senator Kerry and President Bush saw the same intelligence and made the same decision. . .Saddam must be removed by military force. The Senate having authorized the President to use force, the US has a moral responsibility to stabilize Iraq before withdrawing our troops. Kerry's "plan" that he will somehow be able to convince France, Germany and the UN to send troops when Kerry doesn't even want US troops there and changes his position every time a new poll comes out seems destined to fail.

Calling me names won't change the facts. Bush lost the debate. I can see that you are one of the brainwashed residents of Texas. Don't worry...your president will be living right in the state with you ago. Then he can strut around and pretend the work on the ranch until his heart is content.

Oh and I love the excuses about Bush being tired! He is the one that chose to go out and use those people's loss for political gain. He is the one walking around hugging and kissing the people he could care less about. HE KNEW he had a debate that night. He chose to do whatever the heck he wanted. If anyone should be tired it is Senator Kerry that started campaigning way before Bush because he had to finish a primary as well.

Why is it so God-almighty important to the liberals that France and Germany be given respect and deferential treatment but for our smaller allies only denigration and disdain?

Something liberals can't seem to understand. All they understand is tax, tax, tax. Continuous taxing does not aid in keeping the economy going. It prevents businesses from being established and flourishing. Yet another fact beyond liberal grasp.

Right, and Bush had plenty of time to do his homework. After all, doesn't he know how hard work it is? ;)

I laughed when I heard this one. The liberals are so busy celebrating sKerry's debating style that they didn't even recognize this particular flip-flop. As usual they were blinded by the packaging and overlooked his tendency to speak out of both sides of his mouth.

How does one build better allies when at the same time one is denigrating these same allies?
