So, what did everybody think? This debate was my first (missed last yr's) and I enjoyed it. I liked how they were both respectful to each other and professional. No sighing, making facial expressions, slouching etc. I can't wait for the vp debates. :) XOXO.

However, your posting had stated that the money went into UN members' bank accounts, but your attachment clearly states that the money went into the bank accounts of oil companies.
And FYI there is no liberal bias. Even in public radio there are more self-proclaimed Republicans then there are Democrats. In fact, if anything there is a conservative bias, read: fox news, new york post, wall street journal, talk radio. After all it was Dubya's cousin that first called the election for Fox News. If that isn't a conservative bias, I don't know what is.
And I was so glad Kerry made the point about Bush's greatest liability:
Bush thinks, apparently, he is perfect and that NO MATTER what decision he makes, it is a right decision. Simply because he made it.
How arrogant and messianistic and delusional. How ignorant of facts. How simple-minded and stubborn.
Senator Kerry had such a strong command of the facts and clearly is a man of integrity. He reiterated what so many Americans have concluded about Bush: Blind stubborn-ness is not a virtue, and is actually really dangerous. That goes for Bush and his supporters. Many Republicans are intelligent enough to assess the situation and acknowledge that Bush is not who is best for America, and they feel perfectly fine casting their vote for someone new & experienced & mature.
President Kerry will make me proud to be an American again.
Bush spent 40% of his

on vacation.
I think Jim Lehrer's questions speak for themselves, and you're assertion that most of the people in public radio are liberal is downright ludicrous. Survey afterr survey has shown that the press is overwhelmingly liberal, and whether you wish to believe it or not, their personal views do creep into their work.

You no doubt wouldn't consider the newscasters that called Florida for Gore before the polls in the western part of the state closed biased. Oh, no. Potentially influencing an election, as long as it's for the 'right' candidate isn't biased, is it? Of course neither is airing damaging

Busy people have to rely on the MSM to keep them up to speed, and they clearly are not doing their job.
Everyone involved in the Oil-for-Food program was on the take. The UN was the gatekeeper and opened the door for anyone who would grease their palm.

Because the questions all pertained to Bush, Bush's "mistakes", Bush's "dishonesty"-Lehrer never called Kerry out on any of his OWN inconsistent statements. He never downright asked John Kerry what exactly was contained in his plan for Iraq. He never questioned that the centerpiece of John Kerry's "plan", getting more of our allies to share the burden in Iraq, has already been rejected by those very allies. He asked President Bush about the swift boat ads, but he didn't ask John Kerry about the moveon.org ads. So he basically led Kerry into giving his stump speech.
Now this is weak.
I watched the debate and it was obvious Lehrer misspoke and quickly corrected himself.
This is utter crap journalism.>
I agree, the same kind of crap as Terry McCauliffe going around claiming that Bush said Saddam Hussein isntead of Osama Bin Laden-it was an obvious slip of the tongue that he corrected mid word, but McCauliffe pointed to it as having some kind of deep meaning.
No, I didn't miss anything. I think you've missed quite a bit. I accepted your excuse
