So, what did everybody think? This debate was my first (missed last yr's) and I enjoyed it. I liked how they were both respectful to each other and professional. No sighing, making facial expressions, slouching etc. I can't wait for the vp debates. :) XOXO.

your post reminded me of something I wanted to tell you all about:

http://www.sistersspeakout.com/

women who think their loved ones (soldiers) ARE dying in vain. i am not in the shoes of someone who's loved one is there, i can only imagine. so i am glad to hear from some people in that situation.

excuses, excuses

also maybe you should use spellcheck, i think you spelled the Senator's name wrong twice, which doesn't help counter the stereotype of Bush supporters as "uninformed"

you are on a rampage with the Liberal word. Kinda makes you sound like a dittohead! LOL!!!!

I think it's funny. especially since you "label" yourself as independent w/ your screen name -- i always thought an independent thinker is one who is NOT given to lumping people in groups and slapping labels on people in order to conveniently categorize them in one simple category. methinks you may be struggling to understand the idea that MANY multitudes of diverse people from all stripes are backing Senator Kerry.

go senator go!

"keeping international order"? Is that what Bush is doing? You really are quite funny.

I must remind you to read 1984. Although the book doesn't say it specifically, creating chaos and calling it order would fit right in. You know, War is Peace, Love is Hate and that kind of thing.

I'm more than happy that Canada didn't get involved in George's war in Iraq. I feel genuinely sorry for those Americans and British who have paid with their lives for a war that will go down in history as George's folly.

I was around when the US was trying to sell the world on the battle in Viet Nam. Then it was Communist world domination (and we all know where that went!) Now it's weapons of mass destruction. It all sounds strangely familiar.

Do you really know why your country marches off to war every few years? And then why no one wants to talk about it afterwards? Viet Nam, Panama, Grenada, yada, yada, yada. I know you find it difficult to align sacrifice with meaningless endeavor but wouldn't it be worth your while to start chanting "Hell, No! We won't go!" before some people have to pay the ultimate sacrifice?
