My $.02 on the debate this A.M.

So from what I got from the debate...

Bush is tired. (I can imagine that spending the day with hurricane victims and relief workers can be pretty draining, what did Kerry do all day? I can only imagine.)

Kerry did better than I expected, although, I completely disagree with him.

One thing really stood out...Kerry wants to deal one-on-one with Kim Jong Il and leave out important allies like China and South Korea, and yet says the war in Iraq is a bust b/c we don't have enough allied support?!?

Just shows me that Kerry will disagree with ANYTHING the President supports and support anything Bush disagrees with.

Hey, it'll give the "anybody but Bush" crowd a boner!

Ah but the terrorists were from Saudi Arabia and are headquartered in Afghanistan, so why are we fighting terrorists in Iraq?

They don't matter to me at all, to me men getting manicures is nothing out of the ordinary as I have lived in major metropolitan areas. But I think Kerry should have a little better judgement to realize that Mr. Middle America will see it as rather strange, particularly when his opponent spent the afternoon with flood victims not at the spa.

To me it is nitpicking, akin to making fun of the faces George was making.

Kerry does want to continue the talks both unilaterallyand bilaterally.

I agree, it's certainly not very important in the grand scheme of things, just shows an error in judgement on Kerry's part, especially when a big part of his capmaign is supposed to be about working for the middle class. But I actually feel kind of silly even spending any more time debating it, LOL.

I really don't get all this hoopla about Kerry wanting to have bilateral talks with North Korea (that had been planned but scrapped by the Bush administration). It's being repeated over and over. Is this yet another tactic, based in falsehoods designed to denigrate Kerry? I find it ludicrous that it would offend other nations, especially China. China WANTs the US to engage in these talks with North Korea and have in fact, done so themselves.

...never send TROOPS.....they also said they could be willing, under a new administration, of sending other forms of aid.

Oh FOR CRYING OUT LOUD! How shallow can people get. Would it make you feel any better if I admitted to using tan in a bottle?

sheesh! Whenever it seems that Kerry might be making a little sense, certain people here ignore that and just start concentrating on silly inconsequential stupidities in a desperate attempt to shift attention away from the fact that Kerry might just have a little something on the ball.

Junk like this belongs in the hallways of junior high.....find something more substantial to critisize.

Obviously not. Especially when we have a deeper crisis of credibility to concern ourselves with....like a tan in a bottle. Heaven forbid we should get ourselves a president who doesn't come by his tan honestly (by wasting hours of his time baking in the carcenigenic sun).
