Here's a video of Bush during the first debate. You can tell the only thing editied is Kerry's parts out and it's just Bush. http://www.pleasurecaptains.com/favor/howsmall.html

Thanks for that post. This occupant of the white house lies more than I thought. I wish the American people could get this. Kerry's campaign needs to hammer this stuff home to them and fast or we will have this liar occupying the most powerful position in the world for 4 more years. And we will be in even graver danger than most realize.

I know I hate unsubstantiated rumours and have taken people to task before on starting them. Please forgive me for the following. I will state beforehand however, that this is intended to be a joke only....not the beginning of one of those rumours.

He might have been doodling....or playing hangman....By the end of the debate, he probably was able to complete the self portrait (hangman picture).

Your answer will be none.>>

There are a few. Perhaps if I get more time today I'll be able to go back and read through the debate transcript and pull them out. Meantime, I'll turn the question back over to you....what specifics did Bush cite, other than repeating that "lots of good people were working hard"?

<< I thought the problem the President had was that Sen. Kerry is adept at speaking out of both sides of his mouth at the same time.>>

and I can't even BEGIN to tell you where I think Bush is adept at speaking from....first of all, it wouldn't be permissable on these boards.

Good idea to close the borders. How does he intend to do that? We ARE trying to close the borders. Guess we're going to able to do that better once we have fewer troops there? I suppose he believes we should have gone against the wishes of the Iraqi government and raided the mosque in Fallujah, fueling the fires of anti-American sentiment among Muslims and sending the message to the Iraqi people that we're making the decisions, not their sovereign government.

Yeah, he may be prepared to bring in the rest of the world, only problem is the rest of the world (aka France Germany and Russia in the Kerry vernacular) has already said they WON'T be joining us there no matter who's president.

Yes, the president had made the same statement-only difference is he has stated that we will leave when the Iraqis are capable of providing their own stability and security, not on some arbitrary timetable promised during an election year with absolutely nothing factual to back up the promise.

But that's how we're going to win the peace, by rapidly training the Iraqis themselves.>

Once again, same goals as the president.

That's right, and why do you think that is? It's because we are busy trying to stop a stream of terrorist attacks. What is Kerry going to do, ask the terrorists to pretty please stop their attacks for awhile so we can train the Iraqis a little faster? We're training them as fast as we can, but when the house is on fire you have to put out the fire first.

Yes, he has a plan. It is the exact same plan as the current administrations' with the exception of a couple of campaign promises he has no hope of keeping-an arbitrary removal of troops and a promise to bring in more allies. Like I said, he didn't lay out much that was different from what we're doing now.

Right-once again it shows Bush and Kerry even. Not really evidence of an "arse-whipping" to me, as they've been pretty even right up to the Republican convention. Time will tell if Kerry's bounce will last-like I said, I don't dispute it was a good night for Kerry, just curious why some are declaring a dead even race a victory.

The Rasmussen poll doesnt show any significant difference, as it is still between 2 and 3 points in that poll, which is where I truly believe the race to be at this point.

Kerry's facts were all wrong. He said we need to sanction Iran - we did. He said we were not paying attention to North Korea and we should keep China out of it - China is North Korea's ally and they have a tremendous say. We have had our eye on North Korea for years - they have been sanctioned, their people are starving but only the military is getting the proper nutrition. We are being taken care of - our military has plans in case of any emergency. We don't give out plans to the enemy.
