DRUDGE Report today shows video of Sen. Kerry cheating during debate. Despite agreement by both participants that notes could not be used during the debate - Kerry apparently brought notecards to the podium. LOOKS LIKE THE SMOOTH TALKING SENATOR CHEATED!

Carol had dropped out a couple weeks before, but decided that it was the principle of it all that counted... so I stayed with my support for her.

Well I do know I would have done a better job than Bush at least, although I have never done it on a stage quite as large as that one. I have done many a debate in large situations numerous times, and have usually been able to at least hold my own, which Bush seemed to suffer at trying to accomplish for at least the second half of the debate.

Kerry's words used against him would have left Kerry sitting there with a bewildered look on his face as if used in the correct context, Kerry would not have been able to explain away anything, and would have put him on the defensive instead of being on the offensive.

You make the mistake Bush, and every opponent Kerry has ever had makes: underestimating him. Just when ya think he's toast, he roars back with a vengeance. I'd not be so quick to debate "the liberal Senator from Massachusetts."

Perhaps because some of us do not equate "idiot" with someone who can't "think on his feet". He's not a very good off the cuff public speaker. That should not be coming as shocking news to anyone.

No more than a vote for Kerry is a vote for James Carville and Paul Begala (shudder). Ultimately I believe Bush is the one making the decisions, despite how the left likes to portray things. Anyone who reads Woodward's book can see that quite clearly.

Thank goodness too, otherwise I would be considered a complete bimbo (just try to convince my old teachers of that, and that would laugh at you).

I used to be that way too in oral reports etc. I always hated them cause I was a shy kid but I've grown a lot and now used to it. The thing with Bush though is people, before the debate, have said Bush is such a great debator but yet, where was that? He's SUPPOSED to be able to talk to leaders, press conferences, interviews, etc. He's the PRESIDENT. It shouldn't make him scared, right? Kerry has had thirty plus years on the senate and all they do is debate, etc. but Bush was also gov right? So did he never make public speakings etc then? And hasn't he lately been doing q&a's on campaign's and had some practice? Oh wait those people had to sign a loyalty oath and Jim Lehere I'm sure didn't....

I guess I expect someone in politics, whether govenor, senator, President, etc. (but especially President's to me) should be able to speak and do debate's and not get nervous. Isn't it said that Bush won the debate's in 2000? I've heard people say mix things so I'd like to hear what other people say. I didn't watch them last time since I wasn't able to vote then so missed it. I, and other people, think Kerry did wonderful on the debate's. He is a very good speaker and so is Edwards, so I can't wait to see how that debate goes tonight. I've heard rumors of Bush trying to get out of the next two debates: has anybody else heard this and are they still on (I hope so!)? XOXO.
