DRUDGE Report today shows video of Sen. Kerry cheating during debate. Despite agreement by both participants that notes could not be used during the debate - Kerry apparently brought notecards to the podium. LOOKS LIKE THE SMOOTH TALKING SENATOR CHEATED!

When I was younger I was terribly nervous if I was required at school to speak in front of the class. At that time I was very insecure & self conscious.

Now if I am asked to speak at my job, I am able to do it well because I'm confident of the information I am supposed to share.

Bush looking confused, irritated, impatient, & stumbling over his words indicates to me a lack of confidence in himself & his policies.

Ah, but that is where you and I differ.

I do not fear any person in a debate forum, especially someone such as Kerry who has provided so much to use against him in a debate.

I may be wrong, but I do not believe that China had nuclear capabilites back during the late 60's or early 70's.

With the economy, I agree, but Carter refused to use the one tool a President has to try to stimulate the economy, and that is a tax cut or tax credit. Reagan used it, and it worked, GW Bush used it and it worked as well.

Solar energy was too expensive back in the 1970's and the environmentalists were not at all happy with solar energy as the creation of the solar panels created toxins that were more than 4 times as severe as coal, or any other fossil fuel.

I do not recall any news about Reagans people meeting with the Iranians before he took office. I heard this speculated, but never saw anything further on it. If you have a link to anything, I would love to read it.

Tonight Air America (http://www.airamericaradio.com and if it doesn't work for some reason just goggle it and it'll pop up) will be airing the debate tonight (and all of them). I'll have to keep an eye out for if I hear anything else about Bush getting out of the debates. You can stream it online using realone player or windows media player. It will be commerical free and then afterwards they talk about it and have callers come in. Keep in mind this is a democrat radio station.

Ah. But why was Bush? Isn't he supposed to be this great debator? What happened to that? Didn't he win the debate's in 2000?

I don't know how you can equate the co-hosts of Crossfire (a light opinion show), Carville and Begala in the same way that you can with Rove, Cheney, Rumsfeld, Wolfowitz. I know that they did some work on Clinton's campagin. I don't know if they are working on Kerry's campaign. I realize that they are the "voice from the left" on that show but am not aware of them taking part in any high level policy making decisions or meetings within the Democratic Party - particularly if/when that party then becomes the government. Rove (who only has a secondary education) sits in on most policy making meetings and his input guides policy decisions with the sole aim of how it would improve the president's image in the press.

Maybe these guys have that type of power but I doubt it. If you know if they do please provide me with the info if you can :o).

This is like saying a vote for Bush is like a vote for Tucker Carlson (who I quite like actually) or Rush Limaugh (who I cannot stand). It's not the same at all.

I'm not convinced of this myself just based upon how knowledgable and how comfortable Bush seems to be with the issues in comparison to the rest of his staff (obviously, that is just my opinion)....I was going to call these guys "henchmen" but thought I'd keep this post polite.

;o)

You don't suppose he might have things to use against you as well? I'm not trying to dis your debating, you are articulate and intelligent, etc... but give your hypothetical opponent a bit more credit.

I have tremendous respect for debtateguy's debating skills and intellect though I for one am not naive enough to think that he doesn't have at least ONE skeleton in his closet.
