DRUDGE Report today shows video of Sen. Kerry cheating during debate. Despite agreement by both participants that notes could not be used during the debate - Kerry apparently brought notecards to the podium. LOOKS LIKE THE SMOOTH TALKING SENATOR CHEATED!

I didnt see anything on the site.

I did see Kerry pull something from his pocket, but I thought it was a handkerchief, or a napkin to wipe his brow if needed.

Do you have a link to the video so I can reveiw it?

The agreed upon rules state that neither was allowed to bring notes to the debate. They were allowed to take notes during the debate, but the video shows Kerry slipping some sort of paper out of his jacket and on to the podium with his back to the audience. Of course, it could be a kleenex for all we know at this juncture, but if he did bring notes with him that was breaking the rules.

Drudge is not stating that Kerry cheated, just reporting that some are questioning what it was he pulled out of his pocket. In any case, it's video footage so Drudge's impartiality or lack of it is not really relevant. From what the article states it's not Rove raising the question, it's those pesky bloggers again...

I dont think that the other poster was referring to the large notepads that each candidate had, but rather something that Kerry appeared to have pulled from his pocket.

I thought upon seeing it that it was a handkerchief.....Who knows.

I dont know if Kerry would be stupid enough to try to take notes out of his pocket with more than 50,000,000 people watching, but I have seen much dumber things in my life.

Point is, he wasn't allowed to bring something to write on-all writing materials were to have been inspected and placed on the podium before the debate started.

Why do Bush's cheerleaders have such a hard time accepting Bush lost the debate?

He got C's in college.

He got the bare minimum on his pilot qualification test in the TANG.

He's had the fewest solo press conferences in any recent presidency.

Bush rallies won't let anyone in who hasn't sworn a loyalty oath.

Bush isolates himself from opposing opinions and ideas.

He relies on talking points and sound bites.

As soon as he's off script, he is lost and starts to babble.

Answering questions and showing a deeper understanding of issues is not the strength of this president.

Garnering sympathy for his failings and short comings and deflecting critiscism is Bush's real forte.

I could have responded to this post with equally incredible and unproven claims.

I've read lots of speculation online that Bush was wearing an earpiece during the debate. There are even clips claiming to prove this.

Kerry has years of experience as a state prosecuter and twenty years in the senate, many of them spent on the foreign relations committee.

He's good at this public speaking stuff.

Bush was simply outgunned.

Maybe he should pick up a newspaper once in awhile.

It'll be interesting to see what happens this Friday in the next debate.

I understand that Bush is hardly an average guy in terms of economic standing. I meant in terms of personality, etc. I don't think being a Rhode's Scholar should be a presidential prerequisite. I do find it amusing that Kerry is hit with the stuff about being wealthy, yet he worked his *** off to advance through life, and was a Senator when he met Teresa. Bush? Party boy, in to work late, leave early, parents don't know what to do with him, doesn't like being told what to do... the story about Laura offering an opinion and him driving through a garage door says lots.

It's tripe, and typical of how they operate. You can smell Rove's work whenever the discussion shifts away from things his candidate has goofed on to umproven rumours about the opposition. He's involved.

The more I think on it... Rove realises this is seriously bad news that 2 more debates are not going to mitigate. He has tried since March to make it about the other guy, and he knows the only chance left is to have Kerry deal with more controversy, making him look untrustworthy... particularly important since Kerry looked and acted more presidential, and not only trounced the president, he *TROUNCED* him.

Again, I've seen Kerry at work since the early 70's. He hardly needs such cards to debate the president. Silly.
