At last, a debate with something to sink ones teeth into. The Edwards-Cheney debate actually got beyond the stiff, postured talking points. These two actually talked about the issues. (And it's about time!)

Why can't the debate moderators arrange a similar set-up for Bush-Kerry the next time around? Edwards and Cheney did more than just talk AT each other, they engaged in debate. I'm not saying they answered all the questions but it was a hellavu lot more interesting than the presidential debate.

Kerry does not have those attending his campaign townhall meeting-style stops sign loyalty agreements prior to entrance to the campaign stop. Bush does. This keeps the real questions America wants to ask of him from being asked at all.

I've also heard that the questions asked of Bush at said stops are predetermined.

Bush has kept himself sheltered and protected, and most likely this will bite him in the you-know-where Friday night.

I agree. And with this debate there will be no loyalty oath either with Bush.

In general, more people find Bush more likeable than Kerry as Kerry seems to be more stiff to them.

I know I am relying on the dreaded polls (which I really dont like to do), but every poll virtually shows that this is how people generally feel about the two candidates.

He wasnt sheltered when he outright won the Town Hall style debate against Al Gore back in 2000, so that burst your theory into flames.

Been there...done that, so I know exactly what you are saying.

I am surprised you knew who was even running for President.

Exactly.

And despite what many say, I believe Kerry will pull further ahead on Friday in the polls, as America sees him more and more as their commander in chief.

In the meantime, I'm doing my best to wake up the "zombies" I know that have fallen under the complacent Bush spell. Especially important as a Florida resident.

I think in that case people were feeling sorry for him and possibly relating to him as the intellectual underdog. now he's pissed a lot of people off- thus the sheltered set up he's created for himself as of late.

Pull further ahead.....he has to take a lead in the polls first (and I mean more than 1 of 7 polls).

I know. I feel the same way.

How can you predict what 100,000,000 people are going to do, when you poll 1,000?
