A CHALLENGE - if you will...

Ok....after weeks of hearing nothing but bashing from the Dems about Bush and Cheney and from the Reps about Kerry and Edwards... And with it hitting a higher note after the first 2 debates....Here's a challange for those brave enough to take it on...

For you Democrats...

What are 2 POSITIVE things you see in Bush/Cheney

And for you Republicans...

(the same)what are 2 POSITIVE things you see in Kerry/Edwards

I just thought it might be refreshing to hear some good things about each side from the opposing sides - I figure there must be good things in each side that the other must be able to see and respect....

And by the way, like my mother STILL says "If you can't say anything nice, don't say nothing at all" ...let's try to keep this thread sunny and chipper : )

Good Luck!

tsk..tsk..gigy

This is the shiny happy thread where you have to find at least two positive things to say about Bush and Cheney.

I'll post back if I think of something.

I think that Cheney is a good debater, and seems intelligent. He put up a good fight in the debates.

Thanks for the welcome to the board! How nice : )

Although, I'm a bit disappointed that some didn't choose to listen to the "don't say anything if it's not nice" comment : ( just because someone sees something positive in someone else does not mean a third party has to agree. Oh well can't win 'em all.

For the sake of playing nice and staying neutral, here are my positives about BOTH sides...

The Johns: I like that they have so much conviction! By god if they think it it will happen! Also - I really like the way Edwards treats his wife - he seems so loving and respectfull - I know that may not have anything to do with politcs per se but a man that has that kind of character with his wife and family can surely carry it over to areas of his professional life. And I admire the fact that agree with the war or not - Kerry stepped up to the plate and served his country.

Bush/Cheney: I know that part of what people DON'T like about Dubya is his cookishness, his ordinariness - quite frankly his lack of gracelessness - like a cumbersome kid trying out ballet - But that's exactly what I like - the fact that all in all he relatable seems like a human being with faults and all. As for Cheney - Like it or not (and I lean more towards not :) I have to admire someone who is self assured enough to come off as "I know I'm smarter than you - and you need to get over it!" although I think he distances himself a little - I can admire HIS self assuredness.

Remember this is what I can admire - you don't have to agree - just listen, lol.

Have a great Thursday everyone, and make someone's day!
