I'll be brief... Bush did not look like he wished to be elsewhere tonight. Beyond that, Kerry again wins. An incumbent should have an advantage; they live the issues daily. Kerry clearly bested him on so many things. Bush also showed arrogance by talking over Charles Gibson.

Bush is in deep doo doo.

You honestly don't believe that war crimes were committed during the Vietnam War. Wow.

If you see the Kerry movie they show video footage of Kerry at the senate hearing and behind him you do see veterans supporting him. What about all the thousand vets who were at the anti-war movement in the past? All started up by Kerry. Watch the movie at http://www.thekerrymovie.com

As someone asked of another poster earlier, were you and i watching the same debate? your comments point to no. bush fell short again. thus the republican party scrambles to take a new approach when smearing kerry- calling him the liberal, rather than the flip flopper- because kerry has shown america what he's made of in each of the first two debates (disproving the flip flop b.s.) while bush has floundered.

Agreed. In both debates Bush has had the time to prove himself as worthy of being the President again. Whenever Kerry says something whether it's answering a question or replying to something Bush says all Bush says is "he has no record, he can't be trusted." What happened to this great debator people have said Bush is?

There is a "bushism" quote- I have it in my "Show George the Door in 2004" book by Ben of Ben & Jerry at home, where Bush says something along the lines of -Rich people vote republican, unless they're well educated, then they vote democrat- I thought of that when I read your very well said post below. Does anyone have that exact quote?

The point is, I have friends who make well over $200K a year and they are STILL voting for Kerry as they know it's the right thing to do for the country as a whole.

so what, Degrees from Yale and Harvard do not impress me, not any more than someone paying ten times more for a white t-shirt because it says Abercrombie and Fitch on the tag of it. Do I think you have to be intelligent to get in there? yes, normally you do. Did Bush? not one bit. He went in on his dads name. that was all. Do I think the instructors there are better than anywhere else? no. NOt one bit. They do not OWN information. Anyone that wants to learn and become informed can do so without attending college. They only own the format. there are schools that are very intense and much more focused on one field, and have access to more scientific equpitment. But, he is not a scientist. I dont care if he went to tech school in Nebraska, if he is intelligent he will communicate well all the time, or at least sufficiently. He doesn't.

allinor:

I think it would be great if you'd create a new topic and paste all of this great information within it - I worry that an undecided voter might not read this far into the "Debate Reflections" post to get these valuable examples you've shared. These examples could also serve to put a sock in the mouths of the kerry nay-sayers that quote GOP smear ads for fact. Thank you!

Easy, you recruit and you offer incentives. No draft is needed, and doubt he means adding 40,000 in 3 months.

As for what he has told our allies *all allies*... they know full well who has tried to make them fools, and it isn't Kerry. BTW, didn't the Polish leader say a while ago he was deceived? Nice try.

You think he is weak on defence, he isn't. But then, you support a chicken on defence.

Those who opposed the Vietnam war did as great a service to this nation as those that served on a collective basis, because they saved another 60,000 from losing their lives.

Rayellen asked you to create a comparable list of accomplishments for GW- but instead, you off the top of your head, criticized all of Kerry's.

You are very much like the man you support in that way-

attempting to take the spotlight off of his own massive failures by talking crap about Kerry. It's so transparent and desperate!
