Debate reflections...

I'll be brief... Bush did not look like he wished to be elsewhere tonight. Beyond that, Kerry again wins. An incumbent should have an advantage; they live the issues daily. Kerry clearly bested him on so many things. Bush also showed arrogance by talking over Charles Gibson.

Bush is in deep doo doo.

I don't think this is neccessary either. Do you really believe that making such deragatory comments help you to further your point of view? From what I see here it only helps to fuel those with opposing points of view to use the same/similar tactics and reduce the 'debate' to a string of juvenille 'your mama' type retorts, and causes the mud slinger to loose credibility in the eyes of those seeking good information and willing to at least hear another point of view, whether they agree or not. I guess it depends on ones reasons for participating in any political discussion though, and that of course is anyones right.

Even the worst poll results show a tie in the debate last night. That you support your candidate is fine...

but from my perspective, even forgetting that he was trashed on issues, Bush was rude and arrogant... it is readily evident how information suggesting there might not be wmd's was buried... wasn't the intelligence services getting it wrong... and by the way, the info Kerry got to lead him to vote for the war is intelligence from the White House shared with Congress... if they leave stuff out, Kerry had no control over it. Bush did and the Neocons did.

Anyway, he is intolerant of other opinion, and it shows. A president that is is a danger to the country and the world.

Yanno, debates should be civil... but when I see Francis the talking mule comparisons...

let's look at the facts. Kerry worked his ass off to get ahead in life, all through school, etc. Daddy set George up, and hoped he wouldn't screw it up... damn near did. Bombed out of the Gaurd, hid out from going to fight in a war he was *for*. Big, brave man who stands by his convictions... you know where he stands... yeah, behind a tree and lets others get shot at for something he supports.

I don't know where this info is, and perhaps someone knows. I've heard that women see Bush's conduct last night as abhorrent, while men don't. And that says all I need to know.

<<...a grown man has lied so much he actually believes he is telling the truth.>>

Wow, that is a coincidence, I was thinking the SAME thing.....only about Bush.

I believe that Senator Kerry was honest and sincere in the debate last night. Bush got people laughing, at what? At all our brave soldiers who are loosing their lives in Iraq? At the people who are out of work the USED to be Middle Class and are now working minimum wage jobs, I'm talking people with college degrees! At the people who have lost their Health Insurance? Sure Bush can crack jokes he doesn't need to worry about how he is going to pay his electric bill, his health insurance, how he is going to feed his kids. He can give money back to his cronies so that they can buy yatchs and BMW's. AND what about the question of sending jobs off shore, the woman asked about the pay scale in the United States vs. other countries, well I'll tell you what the rich want, they want the vast majority of the people in the U.S. working for next to nothing, they want their (the rich) quality of life to go up, and they don't give a damn about anybody else. I read a posting to the message board in which a woman said she was going to buy rubber bricks for her husband to throw at Kerry during the debates. She might better use that money to buy armor for the Humvees that don't have any, or a bullet proof vest and send it to our fighting men and women in Iraq. AND why haven't we caught Osama Ben Laden? Come on!! Put the troops there and catch him! If I were a mother, wife, brother, etc. of someone who lost their life in 9/11 I think I would be pretty darn mad. The only people voting for Bush are those who are comfortably well off, or are blind to what is happening is happening in the United States. We are loosing jobs, the Middle Class is shrinking, people are loosing Health Care, children go to bed hungry at night, millions of people have no health care. Yes, I agree Senator Kerry won, Bush looked like the class clown.

You are completely correct. Senator Kerry won again on Friday night. Baby Bush's true character is showing through during these debates. I've always known that Baby was an arrogant son of a gun! It's wonderful to watch him go down in flames each time, that he attempts to debates Kerry. Great for our side.

Djie, I respect your opinions but you've got to give this one a rest. Bush pulls out the 30 nation alliance when it suits him and neglects to mention the alliance when he wants to take the glory of achievements accomplished for home audiences.

Bush and Cheney declared before the war that the US would go it alone, without permission from the UN. That Blair, a seemingly intelligent man, was willing to play lap dog to Bush has always surprised me, but there it is. You have the US and Great Britain sending the most troops and suffering the most casualities, simply because their troops are on the front lines. Some other countries in the coalition have not even deployed troops.

But then again, you and I know we see this whole issue differently.

But let me ask one question. Is Iraq now considered a member of the coalition? After all, the US is there to free Iraq, what status does Iraq have? If they are listed as a member of the coalition, how come their troop, police and ground casualties are not listed in the body count?

We know that US troops will not accept any other nation having control over US deployments and actions, do we know who controls Britain's, Australia's and Poland's troop deployments? Isn't the supreme commander American?

Very, very quiet here from the intransigent pro-Bush gang. I guess they can still hope for third time lucky.
