undecided or just stupid

So all those people in the audience at the "Town Hall" debate were professed 'undecided voters'?

The woman who sat behind Bush wasn't acting very undecided! At all of Bush's answers she scowled and folded her arms in defiance...I think I even saw an eye roll or two.

I've only encountered a few "undecided" voters this election and they are all arrogant-know-it-all types who I think are just trying to look "oh-so-intelligent", like they are wanting everyone know how hard they were contemplating the issues! Give me a break.

If you are "undecided" at this point you are either:

a. stupid

b. not paying attention

Do you have proof of Kerry's senate record or just going by what Bush says? Just wondering.

If you're just going by Bush, do you know he's telling the truth? It's been shown Cheney lies, so why not Bush about Kerry's record? If Cheney lies about meeting Edwards it only makes me wonder. So unless there's proof to show me, personally, I'm going by now.

I have been following Kerry for the past couple months (and the election in general) and haven't heard Kerry change his plans or his views because of it being popular. So that's just hearsay from Bush.

If that is the case, then why is this presidential race so close? Seems to me that at least half of the Americans in this country do align themselves with the liberal agenda if the polls are showing Kerry and Bush just about tied at this point.

Your right, Bush is consistent. He consistently tells us we need to "stay the course" with Iraq, even though with each passing day we find how this course we are on is failing, he consistently tells us Sadam had WMD even though the CIA just came out with yet another report stating he did not have for over 10 years. The weapons inspectors confirmed this. He is extremely arrogant to the point where I find him frightening.

If you can honestly say that, then I can honestly say that you are more biased than you believe. Thats not a criticism of you, but anyone that can say that Kerry hasn't changed his position, in significant ways on some points either isn't really listening, or is willing to believe the way he and his campaign has managed to sping things. I'll give him one thing, he has been consistent in the way he has spun his postition on the war.

Sorry Crow, I've been out of town. You said something aobut PROOF of Kerry's Senate voting record...Here's a little of what I know about it.

On key votes, Kerry has voted lockstep 100% of the time with Senator Ted Kennedy in 2001,1999,1998,1993,1992,1989,1988,1987,1986, and 1985. (Roll call key votes, http//oncongress.cq.com, Dec. 2001)

Kerry has voted for at least SEVEN major reductions in Defense and Military spending necessary for our national security. (S.1438,rollcallvote#286, Sept.25,2001; S.1087,rollcallvote#397:sept.5,1995; S.1298,rollcallvote#251, Sept.9,1993; S.3114,rollcallvote#182,Aug.7,1992; S. 2399,rollcallvote#56, March 26,1992; H.R. 2707,rollcallvote#182, Sept.10,1991; S.1352,rollcallvote#148,June 27,1989)

In his Senate career, Kerry has voted against a balanced budget at least FIVE times.

(S.J.Res.1 rollcallvote#24, March 4,1997; H.J. Res.1 rollcallvote#158, June 6,1996; H.J. Res. 1 rollcallvote#98, March 2,1995; S.J. Res.41,rollcallvote#48, March 1,1994; S.J. Res.225,rollcallvote#45 March 25,1986)

Kerry Voted at least FIVE times to raid the social security trust fund. (H.R. 2014 rollcallvote#211 July 31, 1997; H.R. 2264 rollcallvote#247 Aug 6, 1993; H.Con.Res 268 rollcallvote#167, June 6, 1988; H.R. 3545 rollcallvote#419, Dec.21,1987; H.R. 3128 rollcallvote#379 Dec. 19,1985)

Kerry voted AGAINST a ban on "partial birth abortions" (H.R. 1122 rollcallvote#227 Sept. 18,1998

Kerry voted AGAINST allowing vote to ban human cloning (S. 1601 rollcallvote#10 Feb. 11 1998)

Kerry voted AGAINST allowing a vote to create educational savings accounts (H.R. 2646 rollcallvote#288, Oct.30,1997)

*Americans for Democratic Action (liberal interest groups)gave Kerry a consistent rating of over 95 since 1986. In contrast, the American Conservative Union rated Kerry's voting record at an average of 5 (out of a possible 100) since 1986.

If this does not show a little about who the man is, I don't know what could. I find this to be a hell of a lot more telling about what kind of president he would be than what he says in a campaign debate!

Some of those cuts were instituted by Bush Sr and Dick Cheney, with good reason.

And as for voting with Kennedy, yay!

..or just waiting for the spin to stop so they can actually recognize the issues without bi partisan remarks. What you have just written is very interesting. Once again, it is my undestanding that the election is now depending on those "stupid" votes. You can attract more bees with honey. So why, I'm curious are you degrading those of us who just have not placed a clear decision? Why not, if anything else, try to convince us of the validity in your choice. It deems a bit arrogant to call people names, without trying to understand their viewpoints. It doesn't seem to do your own party justice. I have read many other posts by republicans or bush-supporters that were intelligent and informative. Those are the posts that us "stupid" folk really benefit from. Give me one reason to listen to anything you may have posted after reading such a rude post in regards to an individual like me.

Why would you repel people from reading your opinions with such disregard. How do you ever expect to gain support?

And to be fair, I've read similar comments about independants by Kerry supporters.

Who are you trying to convince, yourselves, or others that are new and truly want to make a difference by voting.
