Kerry Has NO Plan
| Thu, 10-14-2004 - 6:00am |
Looking back over the three debates, the most striking thing about Mr. Kerry's "plan" is that he has NO plan. When asked what he would do about Iraq, he has replied that he would call a summit. When asked how he would fix social security, he said he would leave it as is and if that didn't work, he would call a meeting of experts. When asked how he would pay for every other big government program he proposes, he said he would pay for it by rolling back tax cuts for the top 1% of tax payers. Unfortunately "calling a meeting or summit" to talk about a problem, is not a plan. . .if after 20 years in the Senate, Mr. Kerry cannot propose more than a meeting, he is not fit to be president. Further, if he hasn't caught on that the wealthiest Americans will not sit idly by and have their wealth taxed away, he has not looked at the tax returns of his own wife who pays slightly over 12% of her income in taxes! It is impossible to look at almost any international sports event without noting how many European athletes declare Monaco as their place of residence - why? - because of the favorable tax rate in Monaco. Middle class people cannot affort to pick up their families and move to another country, but the very wealthy can and will if Mr. Kerry is elected president and attempts to tax away their wealth. Further, I will make a bet that most of the very wealthy - including the Kerrys themselves - already have bank accounts and homes in other countries so that relocating would be a simple step. How many of you actually think the wealthy are going to sit idly by and have all their money confiscated to pay for big government programs? The rich have never done that and I see no evidence that Mr. Kerry will be able to "charm" them into doing so.

This was passed to me, but I can't understand it. Maybe you can,
I'm trying to get all this political stuff straightened out in my head
so I'll know how to vote come November. Right now, we have one guy
saying one thing. Then the other guy says something else. Who to believe.
Let's see; have I got this straight?

Ahh, it's so confusing!
Every year an independent tax watchdog group analyzes the average tax
burden on Americans, and then calculates the "Tax Freedom Day". This is
the
day after which the money you earn goes to you, not the government. This
year, tax freedom day was April 11th. That's the earliest it has been
since
1991. It's latest day ever was May 2nd, which occurred in 2000. Notice
anything special about those dates?
Recently, John Kerry gave a speech in which he claimed Americans are
actually paying more taxes under Bush, despite the tax cuts. He gave
no explanation and provided no data for this claim.
Another interesting fact: Both George Bush and John Kerry are wealthy
men.
Bush owns only one home, his ranch in Texas. Kerry owns 4 mansions,
all worth several million dollars. (His ski resort home in Idaho is an
old barn brought over from Europe in pieces. Not your average A-frame).
Bush paid $250,000 in taxes this year; Kerry paid $90,000. Does that
sound right? The man who wants to raise your taxes obviously has
figured out a way to avoid paying his own.
It's no surprise more and more voters are leaning towards Kerry now. 3 debates, 3 solid performances and 3 different George Bush's at each one. Hilarious.
Bush flat out didn't answer 4 questions, ducked 3 others by talking about Education (Wanna raise the minimum wage? No need to, just educate.), Hilarious.
Clinton hasn't run for president since 1996.
Bush has done almost exactly what Gore did in the debates in 2000 (with the exception of showing superiour intelligence) and it's done just what no incumbant wants done: Shows the other guy being more Presidential.
What in the world are his advisors thinking?
