What exactly were you pointing to in the article? I think this article from Fortune Magazine has it right on. It's not that we have to create government run insurance or that we should force companies to pay for it. It's that the actual cost of healthcare is so out of control.

According to this article from Fortune Magazine, "Who has the best plan? Both have huge flaws, but on balance McCain's is better." http://money.cnn.com/2008/03/10/news/economy/tully_healthcare.fortune/index.htm

It doesn't take a rocket scientist to see he FAVORS insurance companies! He wouldn't mandate them to cover people with pre-exhisting conditions. If they would, they'd be put in a pool that they probably couldn't afford anyway! no worry for Johnny boy, he's wealthy he can pay for top notch treatment, and WE taxpayers pay 70% of HIS healthcare!

There has to be a solution for those who cannot afford Health Insurance but make to much to qualify for Medicaid.

Barack wants us to have the same healthcare that the senators have. I am willing to pay for it, because I feel price gouged by my healthcare insurance.

McCain is looking out for his fatcat friends in healthcare, pharmaceuticals, etc. McCain's lack of a plan is unacceptable for children. They need it at least until 18.

""""""""He says the country must provide access to healthcare for all our citizens, and that "we need to help people who need it." But McCain also wants to shrink government's role in healthcare and doesn't want to impose regulations on insurance companies."""""""""

The whole healthcare system needs revamping. Insurance companies shouldn't be the decision makers with one's health.
There's a shortage of primary care doctors. The ones that do practice are swamped with paper work.
Their education is so expensive

"It's that the actual cost of healthcare is so out of control."

Much of the cost is administrative & unnecessary if only the system were streamlined. Computerised healthcare cards putting decisions into the doctors' hands not

Personally I would rather have the $5,000.00 he's proposed to give my family so that I can use it to buy my own insurance. Government run programs are full of waste and do not run as efficiently as private enterprise. This has been proven time and again. Look how well Social Security has worked out....

Personally I think it's insane how much medical services and prescriptions cost. If they were reasonable at all, insurance wouldn't be such a problem. They overcharge BECAUSE they can get that much from the insurance companies. There should be some limits set there, imo. There is no way they should be allowed to charge someone $20.00 for ONE ASPRIN in a hospital, for instance. Medical prices are ABSURD. I think we should attack that problem first.

Maybe you should read the facts from his website instead of some newspapers spin on it.
